Just wrapped up the Game of Thrones Studio Tour in Northern Ireland a must for any fan of the series. Seeing the actual sets, costumes, weapons, and behind-the-scenes details gave me a whole new appreciation for the scale of the production. The level of craftsmanship is wild. From the Iron Throne to Winterfell’s hall, everything felt massive and real. It’s especially nice if you’ve watched the so many iconic scenes come to life. We also booked the Seven Kingdoms Afternoon Tea experience, which was a fun (and tasty) way to wrap up the day. Worth it if you’re in NI and love the show. Awesome experience, visit with my wife and it was the best thing we done whilst visiting Belfast for 4 days, I worked highly recommend a visit, there is a guide available all the way right but no pressure to stay with the group, lots of interactive displays and everything you see on the tour was actually used at some point in the series, the thrown is the original that was used throughout the whole show aswell, if your looking for a great day out I works highly recommend a visit ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unbelievable for fans of the franchise. The use of real costumes, props and sets was surreal. Walking through brought back all the great moments of the show. Beyond the displays are explanations for some costumes, behind the scenes info on how special effects were created and a couple interactive displays. As a fan I loved it! There is also a small cafe style eatery. It has a few bakery items, sandwiches and even a vegan sausage roll. The coffee selection is decent and includes a few draught beers and signature drinks such as Littlefinger's Lemonade. The gift shop has great items and an opportunity to buy photos of yourself. We bought souvenirs because they were high quality and we wanted to remember this outing. Definitely recommend. Glad we didn't pass on this one. If you enjoyed GoT you will love this studio tour based at the original studio 30 minutes coach ride from Belfast. If you buy the transfer with your entrance ticket you are dropped outside the entrance. There are so many original and props in settings from the show. Lots of videos showing the amazing talents behind the scenes and interactive activities. It makes you want to watch it again. Went up in April 2024 with my mother as she’s a game of thrones fanatic. Great experience. Really impressive collection of props, costumes, behind the scenes material, storyboards, models and more. Really well presented with music and lighting that really sets the ambience. There’s some interactive exhibits along the way and a restaurant about half way through (the food was great) The tour is self guided once through an initial introduction sequence and you can double back on yourself before leaving through the gift shop. Fabulous "behind the scenes" view of how the was made. With close up views of the actual and accessories, as well as some of the actual sets "in situ". Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed the series, or is interested in the process of making films and grand scale TV shows. We spent about three and a half hours to get round the exhibition. Also some nice decent quality merchandise on the gift shop. Baby comment on the on-site catering, as we were stuffed from a typical full Irish breakfast! Went to Belfast only for this experience. Manage your expectations when visiting. Take in consideration the number of years that the was shown so it is important to keep in mind that maybe some props they have used may have been recycled or destroyed or maybe redone because it felt like it was not complete. I think that it would have been a perfect if the manequins used wearing the were wax figures of the characters. If you wish to eat before you leave, you can do that at the Mess Hall inside the studio tour. The cafe at the reception area only offers coffee and bread. The gift shop showed a lot of souvenir items reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly and very helpful, even the one answering their customer service number. There is a cloak room as well. I suggest you pay for the tour with transfer and return included. x To be fair i had my best in Belfast by visiting this place where more than 40% of Game of thrones shoot have done and where the real OG iron throne is kept. I was such a great for me as a traveller and the game of thrones fanboy. I highly recommend to visit this studio even if it is bit far away from city centre. Its worth a visit. You can access shuttle buses to the place from both Belfast and Dublin if you book the ticket online i believe.
