It could take more than 35 minutes to get into the centre We had fab weather for it. Took us a good 20 minutes of wondering around to get to the middle. We were told there was a bell in the middle to ring but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. It was €5 to park in the car park and then we could walk around the grounds as we pleased. The lake was gorgeous also Incredible fun to be had here as well as within the rest of the Castlewellan Forest Park. If you get lost in the maze you will at least have all the blackberries you could imagine to keep from starving! 🤣 My son loved it in the maze took abit off time to find the center but we got there. Took a very nice walk around the lake and past the castle amazing grounds lovely place. Also there's bike trails to take if you would prefer. If you're worried you'll complete the maze too soon, I have a suggestion for you. Try doing it jet lagged and sleep deprived, that's certainly one way to spice up your adventure! It took a lot longer than I'd like to admit to get out, but we had a blast, and there's breath-taking views all around. Would definitely go back. I'm so glad I stopped by. It was a fantastic blue sky day. I wanted walking trails, but there is also bike hire, water sports,great place for photography and game in maze what is amazing 🤩 we got lost 🙂It's a place to return to for sure… and yes very important what I will say par is very clean thanks to many bins around what usually unfortunately you can’t see in Ireland parks. The Peace Maze was ok, took 15 minutes to complete but a few of the paths have been vandalised and it's not great when the kids want to go through the gaps. Play park afterwards had a few things that my son (6) got bumped on. Lovely setting though and the walk around the lake after was nice. The Peace Maze is a fantastic stop if you’re exploring the area. It’s engaging, meaningful, and set in one of the most scenic forest parks in Northern Ireland.
