Kynaston made for a very interesting as part of a scenic and enjoyable walk. The itself has a fascinating history and is well the short detour. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and offers lovely views. However, do be aware that a sign near the marking the correct path is currently broken and missing. It’s easy to miss the turning and end up going the wrong way, so keep a close eye around that area. Overall, a great outing, but a little extra navigation awareness is recommended near the cave. As for the theres not much to see just some steps that are fenced off, you can easily climb over and go up these as i did but then the itself is gated and padlocked so you cant get in. Relatively short on good paths took our time and only took an hour to round... amazing from the top.. a if your in the area but imo not travelling far just to see ... I really enjoyed this one, not a very well sign posted when I got to the bottom of steep steps after visiting the 1st point ledge, but just go right when you reach the bottom and it's in front of you 👍🏻 is currently off-limits for both safety reasons and because it is a protected bat roost. Oliver's point has a pretty good view from the summit but it's not as good as many in the surrounding area and the incline is quite steep. The trek up (or down if you Oliver's point first) is quite strenuous especially for those with mobility problems. However if you can make it it's having a look to see the outcrops of rock which are quite impressive. The itself is inaccessible to the public but can still be seen.
