I'd recommend arriving early - it's at its best when you have the views to yourself. The car is pretty small too, and has the potential to fill up by mid-morning. A nice around but not as exiting as an rspd So pleased to have visited this beautiful Yorkshire Trust nature with its big skies and abundant life. Easy pathways and a fantastic large hide with information and photos of the reserve. The parking is limited however. Very atmospheric place, heaven for birdwatching. Good signposting and information. Great circular route. Various distance are available but we took the longest which was just over 3 miles. Was lucky enough to spot a very well disguised Roe Deer. Great and we will be back. I guess my only criticism would be that the signage on the main road is set back so you cannot see it until you have passed it! Excellent dog around, nice scenery and clean and tidy only thing is car is small and soon gets full need to go early to get a spot. It's beautiful around with or without dogs, easily accessible for elderly as well as mostly flat surface. One big downfall is no bins other then at the car park. No wonder why many dog poos and bagged up poos around paths... Lovely today.
