Lovely warm welcome. Just had a very nice weekend there. The is very nice. The facilities are great. The washroom were spotless and I had a lovely hot shower. There is a pool on but because I had a cold I didn't use. A shop is also on which is very handy if you have forgotten something. Fully service pitches. Plenty of wildlife lol. Football pitches, playground and games room. We highly recommend. We will be returning. Stayed for 3 nights this time, our second visit to the and will definitely keep coming back. The motorhome are very spacious and the is beautifully kept. The toilet block was always clean with easy access to the disabled facilities using a Radar key. We didn't use the pool this time but there is a booking system which seems to work well. Easy walk to Ripley Castle across the field exclusively for campsite residents. All staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. The Nippy chippy mobile van came on Saturday at 5pm and the fish+chips were delicious. The shop was well stocked with essentials, even letting me go in while closed by the lady on reception. I would highly recommend this site. There are much nicer sites in this area especially the CAMC Club near Knaresborough.. The touring are crowded and spoilt by people continuously walking across your pitch, this usually unwritten rule is definitely not enforced or adhered to here. The shower room could do with some modernisation and the showers are push button.. my main gripe was the EHU only 10amp. We visited when it was hot and we couldn't use our AC as it tripped the electric, so I'd imagine using your heating would in cold weather. £68 for 2 nights isn't cheap either and I certainly won't be returning. I gave one star because the people in reception were very friendly and helpful and it's not their fault that the EHU is useless and some visitors are rude. Only stayed one night but what a lovely site. Wardens really helpful and shower blocks nice and clean as were all other amenities. We will visit again. This is the second time we have come to this and we have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The is impeccably clean with wonderful facilities. Would highly recommend. a bit too open plan for me. The permanent around the pond look lovely. There are plenty of fully serviced and the managers are very friendly. The is let down by a dated feeling amenities block and the lack of any decent mobile reception or WiFi. This was an issue for us as we needed to make some calls while away and found that we weren't able to.
