We came to the Inn to attend a golden wedding celebration (we didn't over, so this is just a review of the food, etc). We had a big for our lunch looking out onto the pretty garden. The food was excellent and the throughout was outstanding. All of the were particularly helpful and thoughtful. A perfect venue. food, We had an overnight on a Sunday so enjoyed a Sunday roast. Fab cocktails and staff. superior lodges with a walk in shower. Lodges are all on one level in the old shooting lodge. Although the main building has 4 (classic double & king). No Hairdryer in the but you can request one from reception. I didn't know that they also have Drovers arms at Skipwith, near Selby. Definitely worth a 👌 This is a very pub/ small hotel perfect for a stop when travelling on A1 or for visiting Harrogate. Parking is excellent. Just remember to register your car. We had a lodge which was large warm with comfy bed. Tea coffee biscuits and water all provided. These also have a patio area to sit outside. The shower was excellent. We didn’t eat on this but will when we return as their menu looks to be What an absolute find. We had such a warm and greeting from Chris on arrival and whole team kept it up throughout our stay. The was lovely, spotlessly clean, well appointed and the bed was excellent . A large open walk-in shower in the bathroom too. The Inn was tastefully decorated and spacious. The restaurant food was top draw and value Pet too Thoroughly recommended So from the start wonderful greeting and welcoming throughout our stay. This really makes a difference. Excellent and facilities. Super clean and well presented throughout. It clear a lot of thought care and consideration has been put into ensuring visitors are happy and well looked after. We are in the restaurant and the food and was sublime. Probably one of the best pies I’ve had for a very long time but all the food was so tasty and beautifully presented. Breakfasts was the same, outstanding and what Also made a significant difference was using some of the best tasting local produce and it tells. This was our first visit and it’ll be our go to place to when we visit. Having read previous reviews I realised The Inn was somewhere special and exactly what I was looking for. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed with efficient staff. Our luggage was carried to our beautiful which was in the lodge at the rear of the Inn. It was extremely quiet in one of the farm view rooms. We had a large shower and well equipped bathroom with the usual shower gel etc which was of quality. We loved the terrace which had table and 2 chairs. We enjoyed Sunday lunch outside. The was kept very clean as was the whole Inn, breakfast was exceptional with vast selection of options. The restaurant served a fabulous choice of meals which were beautifully presented, on hot plates! Thanks to Alex, Lewis Donna and Kate they all have customer ability, thanks to the being well trained. Other members of who I don’t know their names were also 1st rate.Hooe to return again. I found the Inn on Google when looking for a place to that was dog and just north of Bradford. So pleased we did. It was so comfortable and well appointed. We had a lodge and enjoyed a drink on the terrace once the kids were asleep. The restaurant was and the food lovely. Breakfast was amazing. menu choices and a kids menu that didn't get any complaints. The was and all the were very and helpful. The garden space kept kids and dogs happy. Handy location too as we were heading north the next morning and it's only a short drive from the motorway. If you want somewhere relaxed, comfortable, dog and with food, I would highly recommend. Visited for Sunday lunch and was unfortunately disappointed with my main course — the braised steak and ale stew with dumplings. The dumplings were inedible (very small, hard and crumbling), and for the price, there was very little meat compared to the Sunday roast options. I mentioned this to the waitress so the kitchen would be aware — perhaps it was just a one-off, as I’ve had two Sunday lunches here before. Other dishes ordered by my dining companions were nicely presented with reasonable portions for the price, though they would benefit from offering gravy on the side. For dessert - The pear and ginger crumble tart, which was underwhelming — it was difficult to tell if it was the correct dish as there was no hint of ginger struggled to determine if it was pear, custard was served on the plate rather than separately, and there wasn’t quite enough to complement the tart. The Inn South Stanley has and really food the evening meal was memorable and choice of wines, the breakfast also very good. Parking was easy and plenty of places even though the place was very full of people booked for evening meals. The only thing that we didn't like so much was the very small and a small double bed but next time we will ask for a twin bed room, will certainly book again next time we are in the area What a fantastic place to stay. The were comfortable, well equipped, clean and tidy and ideal having a dog, even a dog bed and dog bowl was supplied. The Inn for food was so nice, made to feel welcome and some of the best food we have had, arrived on the Sunday and had a Sunday dinner, well worth travelling for, definitely would be back. We also tried the pizza and the seafood pasta was one of the best. Staff were always helpful and there for any request we had, the dog was made to feel at home too in the bar which was great. Loved everything about our stay, ohh and the breakfasts are tasty and keeps you going all day long. Definitely will be back to visit soon and destination for travelling for the day to different places. 10 out of 10 easily, thanks for a stay. This was a place to stay. The was and having the pub was a bonus as they had a menu and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. The only slight downside was that the Inn is on quite a busy road so traffic noise through the night if you sleep with windows open. We had a one night at The Inn. Only 15 mins out of Knaresborough. Fantastic, cosy country hotel. food, dinner and breakfast equally as good. and were lovely. Really impressed with the superior king lodge rooms, little balcony to see the sunrise. They also host weddings and the grounds and restaurant are lovely. Will definitely return! We really enjoyed our recent 3 night stay. We honestly can't find fault with anything, the was beautiful and clean and the meals we had in the restaurant were cooked to perfection. All the were polite and helpful and we can't wait to go back. We enjoyed a wonderful with our family (26) in all at "The Inn" for a special birthday. The check in and out process was smooth and and the were in all aspects. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and service, especially from Donna who looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast the following morning was equally with the on duty delivering a 1st class to us all. We would come back tomorrow and all our family agreed that "The Inn" was a place to eat, and enjoy. Thank you.... From the minute we arrived we were welcomed with efficient staff. We’d booked one of the Lodges which was excellent with everything that we needed. We loved the terrace which had a table and 2 chairs. The was very clean as was the whole Inn, breakfast was exceptional with a vast selection of options. We ate in the restaurant which served a fabulous choice of meals which were excellent. The & efficient members made our even better. We will definitely be back.
