Bed very comfortable. However, sofa was ridiculously hard and uncomfortable which spoilt the experience. Hot tub fabulous and maintenance staff very friendly . location, very quiet , plenty of nice walks. Pub/bar good choice of drinks. Good choice of food in shop and prices not too bad. Nice and quiet but I imagine it would be crazily busy in the summer . 4 bedroom Lodge was perfect size for our group of 3 couples. Lodge well equipped. Couple of minor issues which were repaired straight away by a maintenance person. Idyllic and peaceful location close to Thirsk. Ample fishing lakes. Loved the goats that were roaming around. Grounds immaculately and well maintained. Spent an excellent few nights in Lodge 56. Lodge to a high standard. Hot tub delightful. Can't fault it at all. This is our second visit we will be back for a third. Second time staying here (Alder Spa Lodge 63). Arrived early so nobody else in the pool & jacuzzi! LOVE the hot tub, nice & hot. The lodge had absolutely everything you needed for your and was warm & (no TV in the main bedroom as stated). to have two bathrooms with showers with plenty of towels. Enjoyed the goats & ducks! Rosie & Christine on Reception were friendly & helpful. Definitely returning for a third time! Just back from a week with the wife, daughter and her pal, both 13. We had a Cedar Spa pet friendly lodge, it was clean, looked quite new and had everything we needed. The 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the lodge which was brilliant for noise. Beds very comfortable and a decent size. Hot tub was and cleaned several times during our visit. Swimming pool is good but shallow (1.2m). The cafe was a bit of a disappointment, £15 for an average pizza, can get a better pizza from the local takeout for £6. The sports bar was good and the staff really friendly. If you like fishing the lakes are great, I had 15 fish on Nitros lake, nothing massive but just using sweetcorn and a float. All in all it’s a and fairly quiet park, we had a week and would happily return. The hot tub didn't work. Told to take £65 (we paid over £800 for a weekend for 8 of us) or full refund and go home. We ended up sending 3 emails to guest services as told to buy no reply was sent back. They did send us £60 back after we returned home. It was a major disappointment for my son's 21st. We Stayed In Pear Tree Spa, Monday-Friday But Checked Out Thursday Night Instead Of Having To Rush On The Morning. Kitchen Was Fully Equipped, Fridge With Small Freezer, Oven and Microwave. Room Was and Clean, Found The Bed Had A Dip In The Middle Which Made It Really Uncomfortable and I Ended Up With A Bad Back. Rooms Were and Warm, Had Heating Control and Wifi. Hot Tubs Were Kept Cleaned Throughout Our Stay. We had a at Woodland Lanes Lodges for 2 nights in October 2025. The hot tub was quite secluded and the duck pond setting was lovely. The restaurant that is 5 minutes walk away served good pub food. We ate an excellent meal at the Black Horse at Kirklington which is approx 15 minute drive away..it was well worth the journey. We would visit again. It would of been a 5 star for everything however the accomadation could do with updating, but it was very and had everything you needed inside for a confortable and a home away from home!! The site is immaculate, had everything you need for a with everything close by, 5 minute drive to thirsk Town, staff go above and beyond and was fun, didn't catch the woman's name that works on the desk with brown hair, but she is so and everytime I saw she had the best customer service!! We loved feeding the ducks from our balcony, for a large cup of duck feed it's only 1 pound at the reception! Also they have goats roaming around and their baby's, very cute! Again very well maintenence throughout the park, no litter/rubbish, throughout. We would defiantly come back and we have already highly recommended others for a stay. They have a sports bar, and Saturday evening have a live singer, we had mia yesterday evening and we all thought she was fantastic, my boys loved the performance! She was a person and got the kids involved dancing! To note there is only a handful of lodges with WiFi, so make sure your looking upon booking. We didn't have WiFi and the signal is badly there with the area your in, we wasn't to bovered but some may need it for work purposes etc so do check before booking. All in all we had a time Thank you for a weekend Recently stayed in Birch Waterside spa (pet) accommodation. On arrival greeted with a smiles at reception but minimal interaction due to business. First impressing lovely. Site has lots to offer, swimming no pool, parks, cafe and bar restaurant. Lots of fishing lakes to walk near. Accommodation was very but also basic - no cushions on sofas or outdoor seating. We paid £52 per dog (small dachshunds) and there was no small gestures for that. Not even a pet water bowl. For that price per pet I would have expected a small gesture as previous lodges there has been dog packs put together. Although I knew this prior to arriving the lodge area downstairs was not enclosed which was difficult for the dogs to toilet. Having an enclosed gate at the front would have been ideal. We had some issues with the hot tub (it was like a warm bath most of the time) within the 3 day it was self emoting itself and needed topped up twice by staff. Overall it was a and it was only a five minute drive to local pubs, town centre and supermarkets.
