Simply amazing,one of the most beautiful beaches in the area in the past, unfortunately, has transformed to a trendy bar now Sand Beach This is one of the very few fine sand beaches in the south of Crete. Fantastic beach. Quite a few steps to get down to, but well worth it. The itself is clean and well maintained, and the is very calm, ideal for young swimmers. The rocky outcrops on either side are quite shallow, anything from 4-10 foot in depth and easy to swim out to, with some great snorkeling opportunities. Very beautiful with fine sand and smooth entry into the water. It is an organized beach, but there is enough space for everyone. Yes, there is a bar, but when I was there it was reasonable without loud music. If you sit on sunbeds, you have to pay 6 euros for 2 bottles of water. The is crowded at noon. Great beach. After my personal preferences is in top 5 beaches in Crete. Very fine sand, crystal clear water, easy access in water, good for children and some places for snorkeling near the rocks. Easy access by car in an organized parking place and then a few steps to the beach. is organized in 2: half with sun beds (10€/set) and bar, half free. bar is well stocked with food and drink and prices are average. In weekend days there is a DJ performing on the beach. There s a where I’ll happily return…although I’m a fun for one day - one beach. Our favourite discovery this year! The only very minor downside is that sunbeds are heavy so it's hard to move them to get into shade but you have a bar. Wifi didn't work and you don't have mobile network at the so account for that. There is some music, but I actually enjoyed it, it’s wasn’t loud and I could still hear the waves. A must see Its called "Cavo.bianco Club" now. Very nice place, clean water, only sand at the beach, perfect for families with kids. Tragt bitte Sorge zu diesem einmaligen Küstenabschnitt! Am 22.10.24 hatte ich zum vierten Mal beim Schnorcheln Sichtkontakt mit einer grossen Meereschildkröte. Wenn man genügend Abstand lässt, ist sie nicht gestresst und frisst ruhig an den Felsnischen weiter. Vom Ufer aus kann man sie auch beobachten, wenn sie alle 5-10 Minuten Luft holt.
