Incredibly slow - took 40 minutes to get an omelet and only one other table was eating. It’s quite rude to not warn or apologize for taking so long - we had somewhere to be and this made the rest of our day stressed and rushed. As for the food the bread was cheap bread and not typical delicious Cretan bread and omelet was simple. Orange juice and was good. Personnel très gentil, lieu calme et reposant pour voir un jus/café. We have often popped in for a leisurely coffee, beer or soft drink over the past five years and on numerous occasions have expanded that to a midday snack - always fresh, tasty and well presented. The owners and their staff are great too! 😀 The breakfast looked great and the Monte Cristo sandwich was pretty delicious yet the pancakes were quite bad. Service was lazy and not at all like the other restaurants and cafes in Greece. Though we did get tea/coffee AND a juice with the breakfast which was nice. My favourite place for a drink in Kalyves. Michalis and his son are friendly and genuine people. I have been happy to celebrate a few milestones in here. I hope to have many more. Thanks guys. Great drinks & food! Very friendly, they speak very well English and they are happy to help (they even called a taxi for us). Magnificent Chicken salad and a Caesar salad for the two of us today. Usually have the club sandwich or the croissant variations ( mega) so hadn’t had the salads before today. Excellent! We’ll done! Very good breakfast with fresh orange juice and good coffee. Recommended! A lovely place to sit for a coffee, beer or snack which we have done on several occasions. Pleasant and attentive staff. No complaints whatsoever. The the best ever, the cheesecake never forget the cheesecake and always the warmest of welcomes on our many return visits the years. We will miss this place, now we have returned to the UK.
