Best espresso in the town, and the waitress is warn and welcoming, I had espresso here almost every day during the conference :) thanks 🙏 Okay food, but probably the grossest bathroom I encountered on my trip. There are a lot of bars on the Platanias/Agi Marina strip and it's all bog standard Mythos and whatnot. Not here. Specialist IPAs and pale ales alongside the normal beers you'd expect. The owner spoke very English, when I asked him how many languages he spoke I am pretty sure he said 4 or 5! vibes and atmosphere in here, would highly recommend to anyone who wanted a bar close by. He argued with me that we drunk 2 beers, which was not true…but he still charged me for that. All the sudden it was “cash only”, he refused everybody cards, even it was worked days before. The old guy screamed all the time, even locals felt uncomfortable and told us the manager is crazy here. When we arrived and asked for free table the answer from him: “you can try” and he left, he couldnt care less…i was “just” a woman. So all i can say is: never ever again. His behaivor represents everything i dont want to experience ever! He argued with other as well about the amount of money they supposed to pay. Wish you, dear manager, best of luck with the extra money you collected (during NL-Turkey football game night)! We ate food here, the breakfast is very expensive and a shameful disgrace to Mediterranean breakfast. The staff are some of the rudest on Crete, maybe because they were hung over, drinking on the job. Just see other negative reviews and you get to see how they really are. No other place is like this, everyone is nice even at the most run down place ever, but not these cash-grabbers. Okay place, athmosphere and service was nice until you have to pay the bill, they prefer cash, so remember prepare to final check. Read the menu properly. The hamburger was old, dry and tasteless. The soup was basically water with oil and some spices in it. Awful. Unlike the rest of Crete the staff are very rude, look how they take in feedback here on Maps! Wow, I'm amazed. The atmosphere is so relaxed, and it's for everyone whether you're full of fun or just need to sit by yourself and have a quiet time.
