Beautiful in Morpeth. We really enjoyed our around here. A great place to get some fresh air and take in some interesting information/structures/gardens! It’s dog friendly and has many paths to wander around! There’s plenty of activities to keep children entertained! Loved seeing the spring flowers coming through! Carlisle is impressively well maintained and a relaxing place to or sit on a nice day. The statue and story behind Emily Wilde Davidson was particularly nice. There is also a great play area for kids with a cafe next door, which is amazing in the summer, but can be extremely busy on occasion. First time visiting but very beautiful and area, it has eveything pretty much. Great for couples, family's. Loads for kids too do. And lovely walking paths and scenery all around. I highly recommend stopping of if your in this area. Well kept tidy park. I wanted to see the Emily Wilding Davison statue. I see some of the too and is a very clean park. Thr gardens, Aviary & you can along the river and has foot bridges that goes into the Town. Goose Hill car is just across the main road & is Free. There are electric car charging points and disabled parking. We had a round the park. It is very well kept. Plenty of seating. The flowers look beautiful. Very beautiful to and enjoy the nature A lovely with a range of wild woodland, well tended gardens and various points of interest from an old castle, to an aviary full of rescued birds, to a flower clock and statues of famous local figures. Really unexpected. Would love to spend more time there Lovely well maintained dog friendly situated on the banks or the river Wansbeck in the town of Morpeth. Great place for families, great play area for children, plenty of paths, woods to explore with your dogs. Bowls green, tennis & plenty of room for ball games. Pavilion café with indoor & out door seating serving hot/cold drinks & various snacks or plenty of seating around to have a picnic. This is a nice park. It's very clean and well-maintained, a nice peaceful, relaxing walk. We entered through the Wansbeck River entrance, which was also a great walk. Lovely place to spend a few hours. Plenty of walking, play areas and Rowing boats on the river if you fancy it, there is a cost for the rowing boats but not sure how much. Toilets are available for certain times of the day till around teatime and a very clean. Parking is limited in each spot but there is a few parking places dotted around Morpeth,we usually in the one with the Chinese and ice vans in and never had much bother getting a space. Carlisle is a large open area suitable for all ages, whether you are retired and want a nice place to stop and have a sit down, or you are a young family with children who want to play, Carlisle is a place to visit. With a big outdoor playpark, including a paddling pool, suitable for all children, and climbing frames for more confident children, it truly is a lovely place. There is clear signage so you hopefully cannot get lost, and a beautiful café inside the gardens, that has toilets for all (disability and baby changing.) Carlisle is an amazing place to visit which I would highly recommend. Carlisle is a quiet place to relax in close to the busy Morpeth town centre, we especially enjoyed the riverside although you may need to watch out for rain puddles in places or perhaps you could come on a dry day. ☔ Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
