Nice Sunday Lunch, great view, veg little hard but and location brilliant, would like to go back and try menu. My wife booked afternoon tea for Valentines Day and it was lovely. The scones were the best we've ever eaten. The location is great with views of the Mendips, the Quantocks and Brent Knoll. The were very friendly and the dining room is open and airy. Enjoyable round of golf followed by an excellent light lunch. Delicious meal. Great service. Highly recommended. My wife and I visited the brean country club to try the lunchtime offer of a two course for £10 each, the menu for this wasn't big but enough, you can choose a starter and a or a and a pudding, we both had fish and chips with mushy peas tarter sauce and a wedge of lemon and apple crumble and custard for pudding, both dishes were very good and filling. We were a party of 6 for afternoon tea, it was excellent plenty of sandwiches, cakes and tea all in all a very pleasant time in beautiful surroundings with attentive staff. We went and did padel while we were staying in Brean and went into the restaurant. Brilliant Mon-Thurs 2 course with pot of tea £10. So we returned the Friday night for the full menu. A must if you are in brean Lovely course Visited here for a roast dinner and was really disappointed, the meat was chewy, basic steamed veg & it sadly came out not very warm. A group of 5 of us booked for a Sunday lunch, it wasn't very busy. Upon arrival we were informed they were out of roast pork. We ordered some cauliflower cheese at extra costs and they brought out a small bowl of vegetables which was supposed to be for all 5 meals. This only contained 2 parsnips amongst little of everything else, nowhere near enough for 5. I questioned this and was told if we wanted anymore veg we would have to pay, I was so shocked and made this quite obvious, they came out with more parsnips at no extra cost in the end. Made out they were doing us a huge favour. At around £20 per head including the extra cauliflower cheese cost this was definitely not worth the cost. Will not be returning. What we did have was ok but certainly not worth the money spent. Good nice food Had a Sunday Roast and dessert. Good portion sizes, plenty for the children's meals. Excellent desserts. Nice and atmosphere in the room. My son enjoyed watching the golfers while we ate. We will be back! We just hosted our wedding party at Brean Country Club. What a night!!! The club played host to an incredible party, of which everyone said how much they loved the venue. Glad we listened to their DJ suggestion!! He was incredible. All the were amazing in everything, from the pre organisation, to helping getting it all ready, delivery and during the event and the clean up operation afterwards. Special mentions to Haley, Emma, Dave and Vipin. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much, Mark & Hannah. What a beautiful location next to unity caravan park. I had booked to celebrate my anniversary, and afternoon tea was ordered. The location and parking is excellent, the facilities on site are spotless and all exceptionally very clean. The waiting area near the toilets has plenty of sofas to chill and relax from the dining area. Staff on approach are extremely polite and friendly and definitely felt welcomed. Now being a Friday it was very quiet in the restaurant so it set the mood for a relax and talk with our shouting at each other, but I can confirm in the summer holiday this place is beyond busy with holiday makers. Tea for two presented beautiful and it does not look much but ended up bringing cakes home, I personally would have liked more sandwiches than pastry but it's preferable to my choice. All cakes were fresh and if you have a sweet tooth then this is for you to try. We chose one vegetarian plate and the other was with chicken and a sausage. All the cakes were very nice and small but enough to enjoy, We thought the coffee was again extremely refreshing and soft not harsh and strong so it complimented the cakes. The cost was £27 for afternoon tea for two and after paying £40 at Weston super mare pier I can confirm Brean Country Club was value for money. We looked at the menus and it seemed very much level with other higher end restaurants in Somerset. The views are extremely pleasant and show Somerset's beautiful countryside so if you fancy a walk you can have a stroll. Access to the club for disabled people is very good no complaints. We did not have a from the menu and would love to return to try this out in the near future, the country club is quiet now in the week as it is out of season but I'm told weekends and particularly Sunday are busy. Highly recommend this country club just choose your time wisely, there is one complaint from us other than I personally would have liked more sandwiches and maybe a few crisp to compliment but every one has their own idea of what afternoon tea means. Thanks again to the excellent 👌 service. Dodgy business practices. Booked yesterday confirmed at £28 each. Turned up and they charged £36. Pretty dodgy bait and switch there. We visited for my Nans 70th birthday. Firstly I’d like to express how amazing the were, the whole way through the evening. They were so accommodating and friendly, they really made the experience special. Secondly the food was perfection, hats off to the chefs. Thirdly what a gorgeous location. I would definitely revisit and recommend to others. Today My husband and I were with a large group visiting the Brean Country Club for our annual Xmas Meal. To say that the majority of the group were extremely disappointed with the is an understatement. Those of us that had requested Turkey were presented with one slice of dried up Turkey on top of the remaining which also had rather dry stuffing. Those that opted for the beef found it unchewable. A complaint was made to a member of at the time. At £25.00. per person I would strongly advise against booking this venue for any functions. Needless to say we shall be going elsewhere for future luncheon celebrations. I have lunched at this establishment many times and always enjoyed good food well presented. On my visit yesterday in a group, I had a very different experience. The starter consisted of VERY short (very dry) pastry with a dollop of goats cheese in the middle. The turkey in the course was one small slice of very dry over-heated slice of packet turkey. This was a Christmas lunch and so was extremely disappointing. Not a patch on the Christmas we had last year. I'm afraid I won't be visiting again.
