Pleasant surroundings inside. Outdoor area. Decent sized car park. Popped in for soft drinks. They were a bit expensive though. Ladies toilet was tiny. Quash against the toilet bowl to get in and out 😬😬😬 We attended as a large group of ten and maybe the quality suffered. The establishment is very attractive, parking. Service was and freindly - efficient with a lovely smiling waitress. My pork suffered with a gravy that was way too heavily spiced. In fact, a rare thing happened - I left some food on my plate. My wife expected a shell fish sauce on her plate but got mussels, which she gave away. Disappointed after a long journey from North Wales. Great service Great food Comfy atmosphere Dog friendly I think empty bottles could be put away quieter behind the bar The service was very good, impossible to fault. The food was very tasty, not the cheapest place to visit but I think it was worth it. Had lunch here 12/10/24 and compared to our last visit two years ago the food and service was disappointing; the two younger ladies were perhaps lacking in humour, one knocking over a bottle of beer which fortunately had little left in it, perhaps it had been a busy day for them. Regarding the food, the Iberian style pork I had two years ago was exceptional; but it was not on the menu today. The Moroccan lamb I chose was pleasant but not in the same class. My wife’s vegetarian pizza had a tasty base but the topping was also uninspiring. We were asked when being served if we would like any sauces to go with the meals; when we enquired of some balsamic glaze for the pizza (a fairly common accompaniment for pizza) we were told they didn’t do it. However, the venue is very nice indeed and the deco tastefully done and is kept well. It is also that they have a section where you can dine accompanied by your pets. Will I rush back? Probably not for a while. But, it may have just been an off day for them, which happens at any establishment now and again. Delicious meal at the Ego restaurant. I had a slightly more expensive starter of scallops and prawns, whereas my partner had the soup of the day, both of which were delicious. My main was sea bass and one of the nicest dishes I have had in a long time. Dessert was a lemon tart with raspberry ice cream. The cocktails were lovely and reasonably priced. They didn't have the wine I wanted ( Picpoul), so I went with a Sauvignon that was lovely. The service was excellent, and the restaurant looked lovely and was wonderfully air-conditioned. It was a fabulous evening with family, and it's always a pleasure to come here. Been wanting to come here for awhile, so what a time than for my birthday. We were early for our booking but we were allowed in which was great. Staff really attentive and helpful. We planned on having a 3 course meal each but couldn’t fit it in. We all had starters and a main. Great tasting food and really portions. You can also sign up for vouchers off which is too. I used a birthday voucher which entitles me to a “free” 3 course meal so long as someone else in the group ordered a starter, main and dessert. But they regularly send me vouchers for 20% off too. Would recommend! From a former Harvester to a upper class dining experience with a warm, trendy and stylish vibe. This is not a place to go under dressed but it's certainly not top hat and tails. The food being served all around was excellent and so colourful with excellent service and speed. Lovely meals. Friendly and attentive staff. Value for money offers. Stunning Tea in the afternoon sunshine was exceptionally pleasant. Sandwiches and savouries selection was tasty and filling, plenty of Tea, kept hot in heavy metal Teapot. Scones and cream were delicious. Took 3 cakes home in goody bag. Great food and I do mean great, first visit for many years will be back very soon. The staff were warm, courteous and professional, can't fault them. The meal itself was delicious, well presented and was very reasonably priced. This is an excellent venue. We stopped here for lunch after driving past a few times, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. While the starters were nice, we had to wait a long time for the food, and the mains were very oily and quite tasteless. On a positive note, the staff were kind enough to remove the mains from our bill, but overall, I wouldn’t return. It was my husband’s 40th birthday and we came in with our daughters to celebrate at lunchtime. Charlotte (P) our server was incredible throughout. She was great with the children and brought them an activity pack. Drinks and food were very quick and delicious. And they made a fuss of my husband with a sparkler and message for his bday for his dessert. We came in on a Wednesday so had the Wed dining deal and they reduced costs on our daughter’s meals for half term voucher. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. :-) Thank you, especially Charlotte!
