By far the best bunk house I've ever stayed in. Everything has been thought of. Full of great little touches and detail. The hosts are also incredibly friendly and helpful. Can't recommend enough. I stayed here whilst walking the WHW. What a great place , clean and comfortable. The hosts Ian and Ileana were incredibly welcoming. The attention to detail in the was perfect and the common was cosy with everything you need. Can’t recommend enough. Wow! Stay here! Go out of your way to stay here. The common room/kitchen is so charming. This place has everything you need. Fully stocked kitchen. Breakfast included. Washer dryer. Shower. Bunks with privacy curtains! This was our first stop on the West Highland Way & was by far the best bunkhouse we stayed at. The owners are on-site & they think of everything you could possibly need. The rooms were with great lighting. The kitchen/common area had everything you might need. Highly recommend. I had a lovely stay at Ian and Ilena. The place is very cozy and thought through. I consider coming back just to stay in the area and rest at their house. There is a fully equipped kitchen and the batch of newspaper to dry your shoes is just a tiny extra that goes a long way. Two lovely people creating a lovely space for others Money can buy a lot of things, but it cannot buy the warm welcome I received at Balmaha Bunkhouse. After a day of walking the WHW, to be greated by Ian and Ileana with a warm cup of tea and a biscuit was so heartwarming. Ileana took the time to give me a proper tour of the place and wanted to make sure I felt at home (which I did!). The place was absolutely spotless and the bed incredibly comfortable. I would stay there again anytime! Stayed a night in the yellow while completing the West Highland way. It's a lovely place, clean and and I hope to go back. Very welcoming and everything you could think you might need was available. Highly recommend Stayed at the Bunk house after my first day on the WHW. Was greeted very warmly by Ian and his family on arrival. The bunkhouse was very and well thought out. The communal lounge and kitchen was a great place to relax and breakfast options were very good. Washing and drying facilities available. I had a double bed with a shared bathroom. The was very and clean. You are just a short walk to the Oak Tree Inn for food and drink. The price of this accommodation was very reasonable. I would recommend for a budget night on the trail.
