The Galleon is a complex & a the membership at £30 a month is great, I've been going for years now, but one thing I will say, the majority of the workers who work at the reception are really rude, particularly the girl with the long dark hair, maybe in her late 20's really rude & hasn't even got the manners to look up when your speaking to her, same with the older lady with the grey hair who's worked in there from the Galleon opened, I get it if the place is mobbed, but even if your the only customer, both they're manners are terrible, I was discussing it in the steamroom & another few individuals agreed, if people haven't got patience or manners to deal with customers DON'T WORK AS A RECEPTIONIST 😡😡 Little and some of the big were closed due to swimming (fair enough) but the full price was charged for using the pool. The changing area lacked cleanliness as the cubicle had discarded packaging, and the floor leading to the was covered in what looked like grass and god knows what. We have visited the here on a few occasions with our young grandson. It’s a pool. But the hassle and expense of getting tickets now means we will look for somewhere cheaper for certain. We live in Europe and the experience is better and costs are so much lower. It’s a shame, because it’s such a pool. This place is very tired and dated. There was broken tiles everywhere and the showers were running cold. I also had a terrible experience with a young male lifeguard when I asked for a float for my niece. He told me he was finishing and I'd have to ask one of the others. Fair enough I thought then watched as he walked over to them both, chatted then walked away. I assumed he was passing on the message but it was quickly obvious that he hadn't. I'm still half in, half out the trying to get someone's attention and supervise a child. I thought that was terrible customer service and really thoughtless. The young guy who eventually came over was lovely and helpful and apologetic but it's put me off the whole place. It sums it up, dated, tired and lacking any life. REALLY ENJOYED watching my niece play ice hockey, but when we went to get a coffee to warm up, it wasn't where it said it was... After asking a lady that must have been a regular where she got her coffee, we finally had a nice little cup of warmth!!!! Facilities look comprehensive, just wondering about better signage or even a machine right in the entry, that would have been best for myself as I'm disabled. Currently having a facelift. The changing rooms desperately need attention, always too cold after a swim and more often than not smell of wee. Showers are usually cold and turn off too quickly. GO to the ice hockey ,good to watch. Cafe could maybe stay open a bit longer. Parking is free ,good all round. Mostly positive just wish they would inform the public more about changes to swimming program as these changes affect those who want to swim in lanes The gym used to be however they seem to have let school kids in which I don’t mind, however they are there in hoards. They take all the equipment, gather in large groups and the majority of them look like they are seriously about to injure themselves. The equipment is great and it’s such a shame that the times I can go are when the schools are out and I just feel like I’m at a secondary school gym class. This unfortunately has caused me and a few of my friends to cancel our membership and move elsewhere Slide closed on a Saturday when most people will be taking their kids. Disappointed children. also significantly restricted by for majority of stay. Terrible pricing policy and quality of in the for children. When buying swimming for 69 pounds, you also have to pay for admission to these and even pay extra for a hair dryer!!! Are you serious? This is just ridiculous. Just having bought swimming lessons, for example, you will not be able to attend them because you need to pay extra for entry, nonsense! And regarding the quality of the lessons, the teacher does not even go into the water to the children! but you could atleast answer the phone. Phoned them about 15 times got no answer whatsoever. Was in the sauna till closing time and they wouldn't let me get a shower before leaving Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
