Just off the motorway so perfect for a one night stop en route. Well run and immaculately clean and well looked after site. We visited out of season in October and the restaurant on site was closed but it is only ten minutes walk to the harbour or town centre, depending on which side of the river you walk down. Just over the border from France so perfect for that last, or first, plate of pasta. The gate is closed between 7pm and 8am which is fine for most people and cuts down on noise in the evening. Well recommended. A quick stop with campingcar at Ventimiglia ended up in 5 days! in this fantastic camping in the middle of the city. Well, anyway near the bridge over the river Roija that splits the citys west n eastside. Close to beaches and everything you need. Wonderful staff, very friendly, serviceminded. Tidy clean camping with the fascilities you need. Bungalows, pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes with 6 amp hookups. We had no trouble with the "citynoise" . Recommends! The campsite is overpriced. 21 euro for a small tent. Its main problem is the surrounding - not so nice at night. But, I must say it's very clean, has toilet paper and soap in the toilet, the receptionist was very nice. So overall it's a very good camping site if it was half the price. For the money I paid, I preferred going to Menton, where you have a perfect view and no strange people around. Again, I must say it is not because of the staff or owner, just because of the price and surrounding. WARNING - Unsafe. Avoid camping in Ventimiglia. Last night we were woken by a man climbing the ladder to our roof tent. I had to kick him away and scream my lungs dry to keep him from entering the tent. 2 men were seen running from the campsite. Better to keep driving. The campsite itself is nicely maintained and the reception very helpful. I feel sorry for this business that the area has bad people. I have asked the campsite to reflect on the incident and take actions to ensure better safety for future guests. Let’s hope this happens and that future guests can enjoy their campsite safely and without fear. A very pleasant surprise, spacious pitches, 28E for 2 people, camper, electricity, 2 hot showers and good WiFi. Toilets and showers were new and perfectly clean, even offering soap and toilet paper! Good location for visiting the port but therefore traffic noise, the only negative point.
