Lovely very spacious a few down falls they ask for 5mph while we were there it was 15 to 20 past the front of our caravan, the people behind very noisy from early, seasonal pitches all round outside and we were shoved in the middle with road front and back glad to leave wouldn't return I came across Brookside when I was searching for somewhere peaceful to stay. During my three night stay, despite the being full, it was very quiet besides the blissful sound of the birds from the nearby woods. There is a footpath directly from the that takes you into the woods. There you can do a short loop or take a longer route along the cliffs with fantastic views of the river. For those who enjoy parkrun or historic houses, Normanby Hall is only a couple of mile away. There is a pub very close to the but I cannot comment on it as I didn’t go in. The amenities block was clean. There were only two showers for the whole but it wasn’t an issue, I assume most people have their own showers in their caravans. The only minor niggle was you cannot adjust the shower temperature and I found it way too hot. Pitches are level with hedges separating each one. I will definitely consider staying here again in the future. Stayed here for 3 night recently, the grounds are kept reasonable , the 4 acre dog field that was advertised is now full of static caravans and most of the touring pitches are taken by seasonal vans , which most were vacant while we were there . How they think the facility block is five star is beyond me , not immaculate, having a shower was more like a form of torture, it's a push button shower that last approximately 3seconds and you are blasted with red hot water and no room to get out of the way . It was so hot I couldn't wash my face or my hair . The price does not reflect on the facilities provided The small area provided for dogs has a list of rules on the gate that are just ridiculous, see photos . We are adults so please treat us like one !! Excellent site. Immaculate facilities 10amp Ehu. Fully survived pitches. Great location. Will definately be returning. Very friendly welcome by the team. Came fri absolutely 💯 loved it very clean and quiet. The staff were friendly. Very nice shower blocks. I went to visit a friend for the first time here. It is so well kept and looked after. Such a lovely spot. Adult only caravan park. Super views of river Trent. Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely wardens and owner Excellent for peace and quiet, shame the pub at the bottom of the road wasn't open for food midweek .
