I feel like people are a bit too harsh on this place. Yes it's an so it is expensive, but what they serve is fair, which already goes a long way at the airport. I'd say if you want to go here for a or something, but the reviews scare you off, just go. Stopped off for a quick snack as very early for my flight, thing too as the is very slow. Food pricing is as expected for an airport, don't expect high street pricing. My 'Slovenian' sandwich was OK, plenty of filling and nicely presented, €8. If you have time maybe worth trying otherwise head into the or straight to home/hotel! is so bad that you need to wait 20 minutes when someone will come to your table. Place even changed the name to get better score and rating, but as we can seet stuff is the same. However at positive side food is here. Comfortable aiport small for quick snacks and sweets. There is a bookshelf next to it where you can take and leave books. Nice place to spend time when you have a delay. Lolita Cafe, located at the entrance of Ljubljana Airport, is a hidden gem for travelers looking for a quick pick-me-up before their flight. The cafe's cozy and charming atmosphere, combined with their delectable cakes and coffee, make for a delightful experience. The at Lolita is friendly and efficient, with always willing to offer recommendations and suggestions. Just a word of advice, if you like your Cappuccino hot ask for it The most rudely I have been treated in a restaurant in my life. I walked out without paying. The in this place is always REALLY slow, but today the waitress was just plain rude to me. I tried to order, she told me to go and sit down and I would be attended to. Half an hour later, I went back and asked if I could have a cup of coffee. She meekly brought it without a word. Then when I tried to pay, she pointedly ignored me. So I walked out. I won't bother going back. Badly managed with terrible or no service. Nasty employee behind counter argued with many customers rather than working. Incompetent waiter talking with his friends before slowly and inefficiently finally considering working. Numerous customers complained about the lack of and extremely long waiting with no service. Reminded of of our order multiple times and then needed to pursue employees for us to pay them. Disappointing as it gives visitors a poor impression of Slovenia. Slovenes and their are usually much better. I had to try to enjoy the whole day at the so I opted for Lolita. The in the first half of the day were really and considerate. I enjoyed everything I ordered except for the Chai Latte (it tasted like the American Big Red chewing gum flavor which I’m not a fan of) but the porridge that was on the lunch special today was wonderful! (I do wish it stated that there was cheese in it but a little didn’t hurt my stomach too bad I enjoyed the dish very much) Really nice place to have coffee. The coffees were nothing of ordinary. Orange juice was fresh squeezed so it was really delicious. Cake was OK, it was a little satiety and little too sweet for my taste. A was little slow but although they were nice & helpful. This place is a wreck. The tables and floors are absolutely disgusting, dirty from stains and melted ice cream. The is embarrassing. They have so many waitresses that each one could serve a customer individually, yet you still have to wait at least 10 minutes just to receive no eye contact and a bad cup of coffee. The prices are reasonable for an airport, but for what they charge, they could at least include oat milk. Had to wait too long even though we don’t have anything planned still waiting too long. The blend should be improved. And that for a €6 cup of Modest cafe, with a large selection of dishes and drinks. We enjoyed their famous Slovenian Prekmurska Gibanica cake, which was delicious. The view is quite breathtaking - truly the best view we’ve ever seen, overlooking the Slovenian mountain ranges and lush forest. I was pleasantly surprised by this place and feel it truly deserves high praise. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, which really adds to the overall experience. I especially want to highlight the staff, the waiters were extremely polite, kind, and attentive. Even though the place was very busy, they remained calm, professional, and made sure each guest felt welcomed, which is something you don’t see often these days. Yes, we did have to wait a little for our order, but it was completely understandable given how crowded it was. Still, you could tell the were doing their best to serve everyone as quickly as possible. I have to say, the was absolutely amazing, it’s been a long time since I’ve had such a cup! It was a really pleasant surprise and made the whole visit even better. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I would happily recommend this place to others. We were waiting for our and decided to grab a bite here. Turns out they have a huge menu, and the food we got was excellent. The salmon stood out the most — very tender, not dry at all, fatty in a way, and it melted in the mouth. The prices are reasonable, everything was well-prepared and nicely presented. As for the service, they noticed us quickly, served the food in about 20 minutes, and overall it was fine. I wouldn’t say the waiters are pros, but I’ve seen worse. The atmosphere is cool, and overall I enjoyed it — I would definitely come back here again just for the food. It’s a shame we don’t have cooking this back in my country. Maybe I picked a bad day, but when you have a to catch the vital element in an is fast service. Although signs say (in English) 'Table service' everyone ignores this. No blame on the travellers here, but the poignantly ignore anyone waiting at a table. 20 minutes waiting now, so I'm off - thirsty and hungry to catch my flight. Things may improve airside, but some management is required at Lolita to ensure customers are treated to some attention and respect. It is hard to believe that this lovely has a google rating of 2.6 although Ljubljana does have a plenty of wonderful cafes and restaurants. We visited Lolita twice on arrival and departure. Salad was good. It already gave us expectation of Slovenian cuisine. If food tastes this good, this country cannot but have culinary culture! ( It turned out to be so true.) On our departure, we arrived too early and visited it again for a break. The cake and were great. And the terrace is really with the mountain views. It is not cheap but it is worthy.
