Very beautiful place and the lady who gives the tour is very kind Genial el recorrido guiado por Yolanda! Very nice visit. You can now the ground floor as well Wonderful tour to be able to see the history of the Belgian monarchy and how they visited and lived in Belgium, and a wonderful place to do it. You truly get an impression of the way in which His Majesty King Baudouin used to live together with Her Majesty Queen Fabiola, and the property is beautiful. I do wish (although I believe the restoration works may have been completed in the meanwhile) I would have been able to the 2nd floor, but nevertheless the place imbues a sense of character that is very unique to the former King. I would recommend (as a historic tour guide myself), that the tour gives a fuller picture on the reign of His Majesty, providing more cultural background on his reign and what he did for Belgium as I fear the uninitiated (unlike myself), may lose a bit of track on what importance he carried for Belgium. Nevertheless worth the visit, although don't go there expecting a gold palace, it is a large but generally quite sober in layout and decorations. Very interesting place! Very nice and knowledgeable guide! Beautiful garden and villa. Excellent presentation of the reign of Baudoin and Fabiola. Very good guide who worked for the royal family for a couple of years. I want to thank Yolanda for the interesting and professional guided I could have on October 18th, 2024. Yolanda’s dedication, knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm made it a special, touching, and emotional for me. I could connect with our King and feel his spiritual presence, learn who he really was and how he lived. The gave me peace and I will for sure come back again.
