The itself is wonderful, and the views from the top are magnificent! But Manuel will tell stories of the princesses and other history, including a lion named after Jimmy Carter! After we paid and entered, a man came to the ticket booth and I overheard his conversation in Spanish with the employee working saying he didn’t have a card to pay the entry. (They only take cards). Regardless, he was allowed to enter after us without paying. When we were near the WC, I went to the lookout on the left. At this point it appeared he squirted a considerable amount of liquid on my husband (we were not familiar with this tactic) and my husband automatically veered towards the toilet thinking a bird had pooped on him and went to clean himself off. Long story short, the man followed him in and “helped” clean off his shorts while adeptly removing the wallet, taking the bills and 2 credit cards and putting the wallet back into his shorts. My husband was none the wiser because he had so much liquid on him and even thanked the fellow. We didn’t find out he had been robbed until an hour later when going to a bakery. I even made eye contact with the thief as he scurried back to the entrance and thought my husband had just gone to use the facilities. The administration should be aware that their employee at the entrance let this fellow in without paying. I’ll leave it at that! Lesson learned. Nice to visit, price was 4€ and they accept only card payments. Nice views, they don't show anything inside a castle. Most of the circular route was nicely flat with ramps and no stairs suitable for disabled/wheelchairs through the castle. Though the streets to get up there were steep, we did find a way down with no stairs!
