Playa de la Guardia

Salobreña, Spain Beach

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Beautiful water with toilets, showers, restaurants nearby and lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent. The pebbles and rocks are hard on feet. Lot of noisy hippie and local borracho but if you manage that is perfect. There is another place for posh campers who like it more "safe"and peaceful. Here is Jabalinos also a lot in the evening.Dogs,people,life. Average beach. Pebbles instead of sand. Clear water. Fish to see when you snorkel. Kids really enjoyed it. Went there for snorkeling but there was only sand! For snorkling or scuba diving you MUST get a boat. Otherwise all good. The water in August is still a bit cold. There are better beaches. The picture you see is taken in the middle of August and its cloudy. You have a lot of sun too but the water was not warm enough ...at least for me. Flat stones, view of mountains and village, steep beach. No buildings!! Various bars close. Don’t go here with your dog. Our dog got a fishing hook stuck in his tongue and we had to rush him to emergency vet. This is a pebble with toilet and shower facilities and wheel chair access to shaded decking. On my Saturday visit in mid October, it was 27 degrees and the water was clear. The was clean (much cleaner that Castell de Ferro where I was staying). No dog poo here! Snorkelling around the rock, separating this from the main Salobrena beach, was great - hundreds of fish to be seen. The promenade was quiet (Saturday out of high season) but open for business with most restaurants open and doing good trade. Wonderful background of atop the cliff of Salobrena. when we do need to wash, they are closing showers...
