Probably one of the most interesting places in Naoussa, but you have to take care when visiting the place especially in windy days because the waves break on the path between the old castle and the port. Besides, the path is wet and slippery. This fortress is one on the most famous spots either in Paros and Naoussa, once in the past was a big tower used as protection against pirates and also as watch tower to control the incoming and outgoing boats. There were two of this towers and within them there was a heavy iron chain. The other tower was completely destroyed with the pass of time, and only the remnants of this defensive system is the right tower, the one we are writing a review. This remnants are open to the public and you can walk into to admire its beauty, it is partly sunken on the harbour, so you could find some water inside, just avoid climbing on the walls to avoid fell down due to loose stones. The pathway tends to be slippery when wet, watch your step and enjoy the landscape. Neat no one was there Nice free to visit place, very nice pictures to be taken there. One of our favourite spots. Mystery, adventure, peace and calmness. Come out early to enjoy spotting fish, crab and wildlife in the area. Enjoy the sound of the calm waters, and the view from multiple spots. When we went it wasn't too busy, and when it's low tide you will have more opportunities to move around the area on the rock formations and paths. It is a picturesque and historical place that offers a wonderful view of the port and the city.
