Santa Maria Beach Bar

Naousa, Greece Bar

One of the Most Revieweds in Ampelas Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Terrible food, on fast food level. Not sure what the hell the cheese sauce was doing in my burger. Waited for 30min for 2 dishes. Nothing to do with Greek food. Avoid at any cost. Bring your own food and drinks, don’t rent the lounges (too expensive), there is plenty of free space on the where you can put your towel and have a great time. Price for sunbed was what we expected for Paros (first row 60€, 50€ for second row and back). Drinks were a little overpriced, but what we expected. Service was slow at first, once we established a relationship with the waiter, he came to check on us very frequently, and he was very friendly. He even tried to help us get a dinner reservation. Water is clear and sandy. I came for the breathtaking backdrop of Naxos in the background- it did not disappoint. Beach is windy. After 1300 the does become crowded , and only gets more and more crowded as the day goes on - mainly teenage kids. Overall, this is worth visiting. The is a decent length so there is plenty of room. The water temperature was amazing. The clarity of the water was pretty good too. We brought our own umbrella so we didn't hire any sunbeds. From what we seen the the sunbeds were really close together. Not sure on the price of them as we didn't enquire. This club seems geared toward a younger crowd, with loud music and a student vibe. We had no trouble getting sunbeds even in the afternoon, which was a plus. The food was unfortunately very poor and provided in boxes without cutlery or napkins. While the staff were young and inexperienced, they were kind and did tried their best. It’s probably a great spot if you’re in your 20s and looking for a fun, social atmosphere with friends — and it’s definitely more affordable than other places. Just not quite the right fit for us, as we value good food and a more laid-back experience. There are terrific bars in Paros and this is not one of them. Dirty venue, drinks served warm in plastic cups and service that leaves plenty of room for improvement. Unfortunate to have wasted time visiting here as the is quite nice. Recommend any future visitors bypass this rundown poorly maintained & managed club and visit any other (such as Monastiri for example which is excellent - get the water taxi and have a great time). Insanely expensive; 50-70 euro for a sunbed set where your neighbours are only half a meter away on every side. If the sun shifts during the day you have no shade unless you lay on your neighbours bed…could be nice in some cases though. Unfriendly staff and overpriced food and drinks….beach is full of waste. To this management, this is not Ibiza….hope you soon go bankrupt for this type of scam and people stop coming here and rebel! Our recommendation; go to another or take your own chairs and umbrella ;) If u book online front rows u gonna pay 70€ for 2 of them, then someone comes a puts his supermarket chair and umbrella in front of u for free. If u pay at the place it is gonna be just 50€, so u pay 20€ extra just for booking online. They don’t offer towels, or serve drinks at the sunbeds either. The athmosphere it is meh. They serve at the bar just after 11 so bring your water with u if u come earlyer. The and water it is nice so i would recomand to put your towel on the sand and don’t spend money. Tourist trap — beware. This club is a textbook example of a tourist trap. First, it’s a hassle to even find — the entrance is hidden behind a campsite, with poor signage and confusing access. Once you finally get there, you’re hit with absurd pricing. Sunbeds are only sold as sets: €50 for a pair or €70 for a tent bed — and even though we were three people, they forced us to buy a €100 set. No flexibility, no logic. The food and drinks are mediocre at best, overpriced, and served in plastic cups — hardly the experience you’d expect at these rates. The music was decent, but the crowd was an odd mix of either much older or much younger people, making the vibe feel off. Ironically, the only time it starts to feel lively is from 4–8 PM when people show up, skip the bed fees, and just hang out at the bar — which is exactly what you should do. Don’t waste your money on the beds or food. Come later, grab a drink, and enjoy the music if you must.
