The of Agios Georgios Alamanou is a 12th century built in Byzantine style below the caves on a hill and is believed that it was used by 300 Alamanos Saints that fled Palestine and taken refuge in Cyprus as a safer place to practise their religion. The place is tranquil, peaceful and beautiful. The is surrounding by the nuns living quarters and it has some amazing gardens around it full of basil and rosemary plants. There are another 3 smaller chapels around the monastery, Agios Nectarios, All Saints, Saint Stefanos and and one near the cave of Germanos Stavrovouniotis, dedicated to the Patriarch of Constantinople, Saint Germanos, and Saint Georgios Alamanos. The nuns moved into in 1949 and it was the first nun in Cyprus. Went there last summer. It’s nice to pass by, nothing exceptional though. It’s a small place, you can see it very quickly. There’s ample parking and toilets. They also have shawls in case someone is not dressed properly. We didn’t see people there. The chapel inside is nice and ornate. The Located on the road to the White Stones Beach, with very nice gardens and church. This church is a MUST VISIT if you have a car and are anywhere near as even though we have visited this place many many times it still leaves you with that WOW factor, such beautiful well maintained churches that has nuns living on site that run the whole place from church to the gift shop to the grounds. Very quiet and peaceful place that will simply take your breath away. It’s a very nice, small but quaint monastery. Worth seeing if you are passing by. It won’t take much of your time. There is a small kiosk where they sell honey, eggs, etc. Nice , especialy the church has some great peintings on the walls .nicely decorated ! Beautifull garden around the . Wouln’t drive an hour for it , but of your in the neighborhood it’s a nice stop …. Very peaceful with lovely gardens and picturesque fountain. We stayed overnight across the road at St.George’s Country Retreat which was also peaceful with beautiful gardens. Excellent trip. AGIOS GEORGIOS TON SPILEON. This is located in the Erimy village of the Limassol district. It is an unusual place of preying for Christians Orthodox people as the inside church is a natural curve with a number of holy icons. It is a very worthy visiting monastery. The visitors will admire the building and its surroundings and they will gain an unforgettable experience.
