Visiting the house and baths of Eustolios is directly linked to visiting this amphitheatre as well, as it would be a real pity to one without visiting the other. On a personal note, I must say that the Greeks really knew how to enjoy life, having baths and a theatre not only close to one another, but also situated in a location with a grandiose views such as this one. Kudos to them! So, we chose to at around 10am, just as several large coach parties were also arriving. Not a massive issue as we just chose to view the site in a different order to the masses,but if you want to follow a set route,it may be worth you getting in a few minutes earlier than this, or even going later in the day when the coaches will have left to go back to sleep. The site is fabulous though, lots of and some beautiful mosaics Interesting ruins/excavations. While the theater is in a very good condition, the rest of the objects are not - you might as well skip them if you're not a geek. The Kourion Amphitheatre is one of the most impressive historical sites in Cyprus. Set on a cliff with stunning views of the Mediterranean, it combines fascinating with a breathtaking backdrop. The amphitheatre is beautifully restored, and its acoustics are still impressive today. Walking around the wider archaeological area—including mosaic floors and houses—adds great context to the visit. It’s easy to reach, well-maintained, and most enjoyable early in the morning or near sunset when the light is incredible. A must-see spot for anyone visiting the Limassol area. Beautiful area uniform ruins. We enjoyed it. We took a taxi to the ruins, spent about 90 minutes walking through all the different places and we just read the signs. Didn't have a guide or the online digital guide. Afterwards. We took a walk about 1.5 kilometers down to the beach to the very first restaurant. Whatever the beach is, it's their restaurants. There's a couple more down the way but this one is very very nice worth it. It has excellent cocktails and literal fresh fruit fish for you. If you like seafood. The only thing I can say is it's extremely windy and if you do not like that, I'm just warning you now. The wind is very rough both at the and down at the restaurant on the beach. However, it is very hot in Cypress this time of year and the wind actually felt really nice. Extremely Recommended!! Well, I also have a love for culture and history. 😁 My friends, if you have the chance to Kourion archeological ruins, do it. But if you come across an event like a Greek tragedy theatrical play or any kind of cultural event taking place at the Kourion amphitheater then don't miss it!! It's a magical experience knowing that you sit and experience things the same way your ancestors did hundreds or even thousands years ago. One tip: if you are going to sit at the amphitheater, don't forget to take with you a cushion or pillow to sit on eat. Your ass will thank me. 😂 And btw if you this place and you have more time, I recommend you also the of the temple of Apollo Hylates which is like 5 min drive from Kourion and ofc the Kourion beach for swimming. 😉 Extremely Recommended!! A place worth seeing. The biggest attraction of Greece is the amphitheatre from the 2nd century AD. I recommend using the guide. A definitive 👍 for this place though you are not very special interested in history. There are several places to on the area like “Achilles house” or the of a public bath. Additionally you can have a beautiful view of the coast. Well presented & accessible. Super interesting and well preserved. There could be a greater selection of drinks available, as it is an unforgiving place temperature wise, but you can get hands on with 2000 years of history.
