Small interesting ruin, $2.50 for a ticket taxi there is probably $30. If you take one you may want to ask them to wait, so round trip would be $100 or so from around Limassol. Another great location to see the history of Cyprus. It's easy to access and doesn't take too long to look around, well worth a visit. Interesting ancient place to visit. Bring a bottle of water. Be warned that the toilets at this site are infested with flies when it's hot. This is a remarkable, large Archeological park. It was a pagan place of worship from about 2000 BC to 400 AD. During that time, the god who was honored evolved from Hyle (a forest god) to Apollo. At various times Roman emperors improved or contributed to it, including Augustus (who lived at the time of Jesus' birth) to Trajan (who was notorious for persecuting the early Christians). Modern Archeologists have restored certain features to give one a better idea of what the place looked like in antiquity - but other parts are untouched - and you can walk on them! I'd expect to spend no less than an hour here for a stop (if you have kids). If you're an adult group of history or archaeology aficionados, 2 to 3 hours wouldn't be surprising. Bathroom facilities are good here - but if you plan to stay a while, there are no kiosks of restaurants on the grounds - so pack some snacks for the car. This is a compact and amazing set of ruins. One of my favourite sites and great for kids. The site is not overly wheelchair accessible. No disabled toilets and entrance is quite steep. Definitely a site to visit with a carer who can do some lifting. Trails around the site are a mixture of 2000 year old paving and dust pathways with rocks that get trapped in wheels. Great sanctuary , lots of ruins, plenty to photograph , baths, dormitories, Temple etc . Very interesting historical place. Cool to see what the Temple would have looked like. Nice mosaics. Lots of free parking.
