We visited the tavern, the service was excellent. The waiters are really lovely. Good food. Good atmosphere. There are performances not all days. I decided to return to this taverna after three years, expecting the same high standard I remembered, but sadly the has gone downhill. The food itself was still good as you can see from my pictures, almost everything was eaten but the service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. One major issue was the waiter’s attitude. In our group, one person joined only for drinks and company, not for food. Despite being told this clearly (twice), the waiter kept pressuring them to order a meze. He even wrote them down as part of the order and only after the third attempt did he finally understand. This felt very unprofessional and crossed polite boundaries. Later in the evening, once some tables were empty, the staff did not bother clearing plates, bottles, and leftovers for a long time. To make matters worse, cats were walking at top of the tables and eating from what was left behind, which is completely unacceptable in terms of hygiene. Overall, while I still appreciate the taste of the food, the professionalism and cleanliness have clearly declined. What was once a clear 5-star place has fallen to, at best, 3 stars. A very surprising and disappointing change. Special beautiful place, happily situated on top of Limassol. Great food, we took the menu with 22 diferent dishes and everyone found what to eat including the kids. Highly recomended! This was our second visit, we also came last year, if I were to compare from memory, the quality of the food has really gone downhill, not sure if they’re trying to save money due to it being a bit TikTok famous or whatever but it’s defo not as good, the portions are smaller, our was “for four people” but it would be a 2 people anywhere else, excluding obviously the things they give one of each, the keftedes were really soggy and full of potato rather than meat, the egg tomato was soggy, the wine sausage and pork belly were really bitter (that’s probably preference but it was just too overpowering), the pork souvlaki was full of fat, literally full, I don’t mind a bit of fat but not that much! The chicken, chips and bulgur were lovely! I recommend if you decide to go here to not go for the at €27 a head, defo choose individual meals. The views are of course amazing, the service is amazing (well done boys), and the live music was also really good, great atmosphere, honestly it’s a shame it’s gone downhill, hopefully they read reviews and take feedback on board. This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I came based on a recommendation. I was told it would be a fantastic with high-quality and delicious food — and it truly exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is located in a beautiful spot on a hill, about 10 minutes from the Limassol coast. The view is breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the restaurant makes it feel like a hidden gem. There is also plenty of convenient parking. What truly stood out was the incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and treated like family. Our wonderful waiter, Anninos, went above and beyond to explain everything to us with such kindness and patience. He shared that all the food comes directly from their own garden, and the meat is from animals they raise themselves — a level of care and quality you can taste in every bite. The food is served meze-style, with a variety of small portions of different dishes — from fresh salads and meats to many traditional delicacies. One of their signature dishes is “resi,” a slow-cooked lamb prepared in a special traditional way. The restaurant is spacious and ideal for any kind of celebration or gathering. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure guests have a perfect experience. Even the smallest details were impressive — the toilets were spotless and fully stocked, and despite the outdoor seating, everything was clean and well-prepared, from the cutlery to the plates and glasses. A truly heartwarming and authentic experience. I would come back again without hesitation — highly recommended! The was decent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The view over Limassol is truly beautiful, and the presence of the local cats adds a charming touch. Overall, a pleasant experience, though there’s room for improvement in the food Awesome food. Very nice people. A LOT of food. Beautiful scenery. Most definitely will come again. We went to this taverna twice within a week, and both times were wonderful experiences. They serve a traditional Cypriot meze, which is the only option, but it’s truly excellent. The portions are just right – you get to try many different dishes, eat well, and still have a little to take home without feeling overly full. What makes it even better is that they don’t just stick to the classic – they also offer a no-pork option and a vegetarian option. I tried both, and they were equally delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The service is fantastic: warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which really adds to the experience. The setting is beautiful too. On the veranda, you can enjoy a great view over the city, while the inner yard is lit up with lovely lights and has such a cozy, charming atmosphere. Overall, it’s a place I would wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Cypriot hospitality and food in a beautiful setting.
