Lovely afternoon tea with the family on a beautiful spring day. The afternoon tea selection was excellent - everything very fresh and beautifully presented. We then spent time in the wonderful grounds with so much space for the grandkids to run around and lots of different activity installations to keep them entertained Baby friendly, vegan, remarkable outdoor, outdoor tables with 🔥, dog friendly, delicious pastries and food, A bit pricey but coffee is good! I love this place so much. I was into pastries so much, and pizza and breakfast are very good. Lovely place to take my baby. He could walk and run around outside in the field. My boy and I were amazed by the view of long big trees 🌳 Absolutely recommended place to visit with your loved one😘 Super quick service, staff really friendly. Great selection of cakes and food. Decorated super cute for the Halloween festive season. With marshmallows on sticks to roast on their smoked fire. Delicious brunches! We visited twice whilst staying locally. The eggs Royale & florentine were delicious, served on Rosti 🤤 the smashed avocado was also yummy, and my husband loved his English breakfast. The outside area is lovely, and very dog friendly. Some great produce available to purchase in-store too, including some lovely craft beers 🍻 Absolutely fabulous place. Food The Best. Staff attentive & friendly. Vibe wholesome, chill & relaxing aesthetics. Great little local produce shop & outside surrounding areas are just lovely to have a wander. A special place to go visit Ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and then it arrived without and when I questioned it the waitress abruptly said “we don’t have whipped cream today” and that was that. No apology or acknowledgment that they didn’t actually let me know before ordering. Ordered a sandwich on granary but arrived on white, which baring in mind was £11.50. Staff were disinterested, and reading the reviews this is a common theme at the moment. Wouldn’t return Gorgeous place. I don’t normally leave reviews but I wanted to give a little shout out to the staff. Whenever me & my toddler come everyone is so lovely but one girl in particular is absolutely amazing (darker hair, wore a striped top today - 29/04/24. She always goes out of her way to interact with my little boy & is so friendly. Thank you for helping to make having a coffee out with a little one a lot easier. I think we will be spending most our summer with you guys! Experience using the campsite. The good - lots of space around the tent, pleasant surroundings, sheltered site, the site is secured at night. The not so good:- 1) Of the 3 toilets, only one had a working lock! 2) There is only one washing up sink for the whole site 3) Of the six showers one was marked out of order, 3 had locks that didn't work, one produced no hot water, leaving just one shower that everyone was using...and even this only ran cold on the last day. Clearly the site management aren't doing proper checks on the adequacy of their facilities. Such a shame as otherwise the site has a lot going for it.
