One of the fewest such natural wonders in Europe, nestled in a very picturesque carstic area. Been here a few times and always amazed by the beauty of landscape. A truly unique place, a wonder of natural erosion of a large cave. The sub-horizontal tunnel can be explored, even thogh is just 750 m long. Definitely worth visiting. This is the longest natural stone bridge created by water and air erodation over thousands of years. It is the biggest in Romania Vest region by the number of kilometers. The place have a parking lot for around 5 cars, near you have a terrace where you can stay relax and eat tne dinner. I really recommend this place to anyone who want to have a great experience! Specular cave, a part of whose ceiling fell and the remains formed a bridge that currently sustains a country road in Ponoarele. O locație superbă, păcat că nu o îngrijește nimeni... Very great to see real nature bridge bild by nature. Nice to walk there and nice Restaurants near them. Needs to be promoted more! Could be an extraordinary place! The legends are beautiful, but it is hard to image something among all those bushes as tall as you are:)) Impressive place with big rocky stone walls and a cave. The is almost 800m long with one entering from ome side and the one on the other side. Did not visited the as we were in motorcycle suit, but i think it's worthy. God's Bridge is the only functional natural road passage at the national level. It is Romania's largest natural bridge and Europe's second largest. To visit the nearby cave, you should be properly equipped with boots and a flashlight. I visited Podul lui Dumnezeu in May 2025 (Sunday, 25th of May), during a Blind Trip; we also went to the that is nearby, and moreover I climbed the hill up to the three-colored letters "PONOARELE", in the colors of the Romanian national flag, where Ponoarele stands for the name of the village where the bridge is located in the Mehedinți county. Also the panorama and sight over the village look beautiful, even when the weather is cloudy! Fantastic landmark of Mehedinti county. I recommend visiting it.
