Friendly staff who was happy to give even more insight into the history of both moudania and chalkidiki. Undiscovered gem. Definitely worth a visit to learn about different types of commercial fishing, see real nets, lamps, boats, compasses and other gear. They also have an impressive seashell collection. Plus the best part is…it’s absolutely free! Visited this on Monday 2:50pm and the closing time stated here is 4:00pm however the is closed. Such a dissapointment that the opening time is inaccurate. The member of staff ( who tried his best with English) was very attentive. Well worth a visit . Try a Wednesday and visit the market in Neo Mon at the same time. Interesting with helpful explanations in English as well as Greek. It's well worth staying to watch the 30 minute documentary on the sponge divers of Kalymnos - we found it fascinating! Lovely little about this history of fishing. It also has a display on beekeeping and a collection of seashells.
