Quer über das "steinige" Feld bis zum nächsten Schild, noch nicht der Steinmauer entlang. Erst, wenn das steile Stück kommt, immer der Steinmauer entlang bis zum Ziel. Es ist machbar! Unbedingt festes Schuhwerk und Wasser. Je nach Kondition braucht man für eine Wegstrecke 20 bis 60 Minuten! Tatsache, dass die Kapelle in der Höhle ein besonderer Ort ist. Wir hatten das Glück, dass das Wetter sehr windig war. Das Meer hat seine ganze Kraft gezeigt! Respekt vor der Natur! Meerzwiebeln, blühende Diesteln, Falken, Tauben, Möwen, .... I recommend parking the car on the main road and resist the temptation to descend a few hundred meters to what looks like a parking lot, reversing down there is challenging and so is the steep slope to get back (especially if there are other visitors with the same idea). the hike. Stunning, quiet trail on a September weekend. Got a bit lost but following the stone wall will get you there. Best to wear trainers or hiking shoes. Definitely a must visit place on the island. The path demands proper to avoid injuries. It’s great if you make it there before sunset. A very rewarding and unique experience. It’s recommended to take a taxi there. The driver will drop you to the beginning of the path. Then it’s about 30’ walk to the chapel. The walk back to Galissas is about an hour with the hardest part been the first 30’ uphill but it’s doable and definitely the memory you’ll take back with you will the hustle Absolutely beautiful and the 2 hour round trip from Galissas. We left at 7am in the morning to avoid the heat which was a good idea. The initial uphill walk from Galissas bus stop is really steep. It was also a little unclear how to get to the walking track from the road (we ended up walking through a construction site and needing to ask the builders where to go). The way back up was much easier. Would only recommend this walk for fit people. All in all the walk made getting to the chapel even more special. The is well it to get to this unique and beautiful little cove. The sound of the waves is hypnotic and the swim felt oddly spiritual. Wear good shoes, sun protection and bring water!!! In terms of difficulty, it is a 30 minute down a steep mountain side to the water, and then 30 back up. If you couldn't climb/descend stairs for that long, you should not do this hike. The can get rough here, so swim only if it is safe to do so and you're confident in the water. Not the easiest hike, but I did it! A really great hike. The view at the end is the steep steps down and back up again. It's about 1 hour 15 to get there (one way), and there are signs you can follow.
