The house of as it's called of Syros! Perfectly cooked and a large variety of meats to choose from. The view from Alithini (the area Mitsos is located) is exceptional. You can see the whole Ermoupolis and enjoy a clear ocean view. Make sure to make a reservation before you go there, especial on busy summer months! The staff was very kind and friendly and the was quite good. You should definitely visit this place when going to Syros! We walked up to Mitsos. It was quite the walk and took an hour we caught a taxi back down. The view is great and the is very nice inside and outside. I ordered 3 dishes. Nothing had any real wow factor and tbh it was all rather disappointing. This came highly recommended so l guess l expected a lot more. The dips were ok, nothing special, the eggplant was the best of the 4. The lamb kebabs were really disappointing l ended up giving them to my dog. The fennel pie didn’t taste of fennel at all only Horta and onion and was deep fried. was to start and to finish but lacking somewhat in the middle as the staff changed shifts half way through so came to an abrupt holt. Absolutely wonderful restaurant! Everything was amazing! One of the best at Syros island. A definitely must visit! Please, keep up the work guys! Spectacular views and food. I remember the place from many years ago. I like the renovation they did trying to shift from a traditional taverna to a "meat restaurant", however, the food remains unchanged just on fancier plates (and maybe higher prices?)... That's not bad though, since their food was and still is good, just a little bit funny to see it. If you are in Syros and you want some meat, go to this place. The lamb was nice and fatty with the falling right off the bone. The croquettes were alright and the local wine complimented the nicely. A small complimentary dessert provided a sweet end to the meal. Great with the being frequented by locals. Well worth the sketchy trek up the long set of stairs from upper Ermoupoli or short drive. O Mitsos- O yes! The “meat place” that everyone talks about and for reason on the island of Syros, Greece. Ordered the Strip-loin Tagliata along a side of mashed & it came a little under, but man O yes worthy of all the hype, from the stunning view (interrupted by some power-lines) to friendly (uninterrupted and smiling!) O do come if you may be in the neighbourhood, and O you will not regret it! It's an amazing modern restaurant/steak-house. The food is really tasty and at great prices. We went out for dinner at the last night and were delighted by the exceptional quality of the and ingredients. However, the left something to be desired: four waiters were chatting among themselves instead of attending to the customers. No dessert was offered to us, which is usually customary, while we noticed that local tables were offered some. Overall, we had a positive experience, but the customer could definitely be improved.
