A very interesting exhibiting the island's rich industrial past from 1826 to 1976 showing industrial progress from tanning to textiles to mechanical typography and the first ever, electric car the Enfield 8000! We visited this interesting and unique today. You can expect a warm welcome and great information as you arrive. The is full of interesting exhibits, spotlessly clean and truly connected to the and culture of Syros. There are sooo many different kinds of displays in multiple industries that you become hugely impressed with the intelligence and innovative nature of the people of this island. There's something for everyone here, no matter your interests. We had a great time and the people were lovely. Highly recommended. Very well kept museum, staff is super kind and friendly. We saw a ship engine scale model from 1953 (!!) that still worked and the lady at the front desk was kind enough to demonstrate. Super rich in and beautiful ship models. We walked out very impressed! It was so worth the visit. It's contains bits and bobs of Syros heritage. Particularly liked the explanatory video of how loukoumi is made 😀 This is so worth it! Thoughtful and organized. A lesson not to be missed. Lovely small at only €2 per adult. If you don't read greek, a camera based translation app will enhance the English written information present. Staff present were lovely and helpful. We went in off season, maybe there are English speaking guides during peak times. A nice presentation of the island's industrial with emphasis on shipping and printing industries as well the first electric car made in Greece Wonderful informative with a great story and a lot of on display. Beautiful premises and giant looms! A hidden gem really!! Very interesting about the island’s once thriving industry, but it needs some modernization, better exhibition of the artifacts, maybe the use of visual and sound aids or some interactive displays. A very nice place which shows the industrial of Syros. It also has a variety of tools and home appliances of the past. An other interesting exhibit is the first Greek electric car produced in the 70s, designed by Anglo Greek company. This car is functional too. A very impressive exhibit of Syros' industriousness from 1822 to the modern era. From printing presses to boat building and international trade, this covers it all. Some exhibits could be better displayed.
