Πολυ καλή προσπάθεια ανάδειξης του χώρου, ευγενική υποδοχή και ωραίο μουσείο! The house of Giannoulis Halepas is now a that you can visit using the same ticket for the of Tinian artists. Giannoulis Halepas is the most famous Tinian marble sculptor, his most famous work being the Sleeping female that can be seen in the first Cemetery of Athens. I highly recommend visiting the even if you are not familiar with his work. 5 stars, highly recommended! Fabulous giving insight into the history of collecting, cutting and carving and sculpting the marble. Really interesting how the craft has been passed on to male members of families. Really enjoyed and recommend a visit if in the area. Υπέροχη εμπειρία! Να πάτε. Πάμφθηνη είσοδος, air-conditioning, αυθεντικές στιγμές μιας άλλης εποχής! A wonderful in Pyrgos, containing artwork from the famous Greek sculpture Giannoulis Halepas. The is situated at the old house of the sculptor. Thus, it is also a unique opportunity to visit a 19th century Greek Island house. Using the same ticket you can also visit, the of local Artists, located next door. Considering it's a small house with a very small variety of sculptures and items the story of his life provided by the girl in charge is rewarding! A place having housed the early years of Halepas. Full of fears and anxiety, Halepas is the most important sculpture artist far in front of the European art of that time. Beautiful presentation of the young guide. It’s worth listening to it. Entrance fees 3€ for both museums. The artist history is quite interesting, but i don't think it's worth the trip. Δυστυχώς πέσαμε σε περίοδο ανακαίνισης. Was closed on summer for renovation! So not cool! This is the house of the famous Greek sculptor Gianoulis Halepas! By visiting it you get a better sense of the environment he grew up in. There is also a small book exhibition where you an buy relevant books about his life and work. Where he was born, where he lived a big part of his life, where he endured the most unimaginable torment, where he created masterpieces in sculptures... The rating for this place is done solely by my experience of the interaction I had with the employee of this museum. We visited this place, as part of a tourist group who came by bus. The general entrance for this was €3, but for the group was €2. However nobody told us about this. We paid €3 and when we left the we were told that we only had to pay €2. HOWEVER the employee put the blame on us, as we HAD to let them know that we were from the group. But nobody told us that we had to do that and in my opinion the employee had to notify us/ask us as well.
