Really well preserved. Lots of rooms to explore. It has multiple language information including English. There are some absolutely breathtaking views and a few lovely walking paths. Recommended The fortress lost most of its historical value after the reconstruction and was turned into an exhibition place. I missed the display original historical objects connected to Füzèr or the region. The views from the hilltop are amazing and you can learn a lot about how people lived in the via various installations. There are also free guided tours in Hungarian which you can join or you can get an audio guide in the visitor centre. Inside the visitor centre there is also toilet but drinks and food you cannot buy. However at the parking lot there is a kiosk with refreshments and also a fairy tale playground for kids in the forest. A fantastic at a truly fabulous location. 50-60% rebuilt from its ruins. Recommended for everyone to visit. Füzér dating back to the 13th century, combines Gothic and Renaissance styles. It offers stunning views, a history museum, cultural events, and guided tours, all set amidst scenic natural beauty. One of the most interesting places I've visited. Recommended Disappointed, waste of time and money. Especially if you decided travel all the way from Budapest. 16th century castle, but nothing left from old times. They used "new" lamber to imitate old fashioned furniture, but not so successful. Some construction works going on. Exhibitions not interesting, just demonstrating households. The place is very well mantained, I like that there is a forest around. The fee was around 10 euros per person, the is quite big, yoy can collect stamps from different places within the and two more within the village, if you have kids, definetely a worthy activity to enjoy with them. We visited the castke on Sunday when we met around 10 people. Amazing sightseeing! Loved it. still in renovation but worth the visit. Beautiful place to have a trip. We arrived at the parking spot during the week so it was not busy and without parking fee. Walked through the forest stopped by playground and continued up on path nicely following the signs. I really recommend it, we were surprised how well maintained it was. With toilets all around and trash bins all looking perfect and not disturbing. Our group of 3 adults and 6 kids managed all the steps and kids were collecting stamps during tour so even more interesting for them. Thank you Füzer Vara you were lovely!
