Great looking course with some fantastic holes, clubhouse is well presented and the shop is snug but they make use of the little space as its jam packed with stuff. The food was spot on too and very well priced. The only let down was the course during a scheduled event members were still playing and held up in several areas. Also its autumn and with the amount of trees around the were covered in leaves, most other courses I would have had green blowing these off especially during an event. Enjoyed our golf Society day here. Pity the kitchen was closed on Monday mornings and could not get a bacon sandwich. Had a pot of tea before our round. at the pro shop were helpful when I asked how the course was playing. The course is challenging from tee to green. The only disappointment was the state of the which were recovering from disease and were patchy. Would love to come back and when the are in better condition and I can get a bacon sarnie! Our group of 12 played here on May 22nd and condition of course is an absolute credit to green keeping staff. true and moderately quick, fairways, teeing off areas and bunkers also nicely presented. Members were v friendly and approachable. We will be back. Thank YOU DCGC I live in Durham and I've only recently played here. I've since played again and would love a membership. The course is as good as you'll find in the area. Great variety of holes to keep you on your toes. Top class conditions. I may explore a membership if possible. Can highly recommend!!!! Very impressive golf course. Picturesque parkland with a well thought out layout to test most club golfers. Then a superb clubhouse where you can get a selection of beers and good food to end your round. Definitely on my list for a return visit. A well managed and picturesque course. Not hard to but the are quick ish with a lot of undulations. Friendly but awkward to find without a seat nav. Plenty of parking and a pleasant club house. Green fee plus cart only cost £25 so very much value for money. Really enjoyed playing this course. Highly maintained and were superb. Can't wait to return, and hopefully bit better ha. Played yesterday was charged £180 for a fourball , absolutely ripped of the are an absolute disgrace ,I have pictures but won't let me upload, the first hole has a very thick heavy line of sand right across the green in front of the pin the ball stops dead you can't chip or put through it ,this hole is unplayable in my opinion ,the 2nd is not much better sand everywhere ,the season has started your charging full price this is totally unacceptable all the other Don't run true the grass is visibley dying or has some kind of disease or you don't bother watering them , I'd every single golfer in the country avoid this course forever or until you sort out the worst I've ever played on in my life ,it's absolutely disgusting as a club you think it's acceptable to charge 45 quid pp to on this course ,I'm surprised you have any members willing to put up with the awful condition this course is in at the moment ,you won't get me or the others I played with to pay 45 quid it's not even worth half that in fact it's not I wouldn't pay you a penny to there, I'm repeating myself but avoid avoid avoid the are an absolute disgrace We had a fantastic family on Saturday, the service from the was excellent, the food was delicious and plentiful. The was perfect. We all had a very special day and I’d highly this and beautiful setting. We were at a family on 12th July and have to say how fantastic this was. Brian and the rest of the couldn’t be more helpful from the night before when we set up and right through the day. Food and views were second to none and we would highly this to others. The are an absolute asset to you. A fantastic day, thank you all so much! I've had the pleasure of working with Tom over the past few months, taking five lessons since April with the support of The Golf Trust. As a below-knee amputee, I came into my sessions with unique challenges, and Tom immediately tailored his approach to help me build a solid foundation. The lessons have focused on developing a consistent and balanced swing, with particular attention to improving my grip, rotation, and shoulder plane—areas that were holding me back. Tom's clear instruction, patience, and understanding have been instrumental in my progress. I wholeheartedly Tom to any golfer—especially those with adaptive needs—who is looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely committed coach. Attended a family here and would like to say how fantastic it was. Setting was beautiful, food was really good and loads of choice. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Had a fabulous day and would highly recommend. I was a guest at a family on July 12th. The reception being at Durham City golf club. Would just like to say how fabulous the was, how good the food was and how brilliant Brian, Tracy and their were. Bar great. Nothing was too much bother for anyone. Brian was so helpful. DJ brilliant too. Would definitely for a wedding/party venue.
