Superb gf course our Pros always enjoy this course, a jewel in the crown of courses, but it's a tough track though don't expect to be signing for a low sixties, enjoy. Fantastic course in condition for our visit in October. We had a hearty breakfast on arrival. Club house and the professional very friendly and helpful. Buggy advisable for senior golfers like ourselves. Hope to revisit when back in the area. Highly recommended. course, extremely scenic with some truly amazing par threes. Well stocked pro shop and brilliant trackman studio run by one of the north east's best teaching pros welcome and the course was planning very well. Credit to the greens keeping it in good condition in the dry weather. Tight fairways with plenty of traps and fabulous greens. CJ and I came up from East Kent where we play Royal St. George's and Walmer & Kingsdown clubs and found your course to be a course to play. The course was in condition and the and players could not have been friendlier. We will definitely return. Challenging to say the least! You'll need to be on top of your game to score well here. Peter Allis said, "There are par 3s and par 3s. And then there's the 9th at Brancepeth!' Incredibly friendly, food and a fabulous historic clubhouse. You'll enjoy this Harry Colt design very much. If you're looking for a course that stands out in the North East, Brancepeth Castle Club might just be the best around. The course is fantastic—challenging in all the right ways. The greens are quick and tricky, They're tough but in a good way that keeps you thinking. The fairways are in shape, and the bunkers are exactly where they should be. It's a course that really tests your skills, so if you're a high handicapper, you might find it a bit tough, but that's part of the charm. The practice facilities are spot on, a driving range, nets, putting and chipping greens. The pro shop is well-stocked with everything from clubs to clothing, and the are very welcoming. Brancepeth Castle is also set to host the England English Seniors Men’s Amateur Championship soon, which just goes to show how good this course really is. All in all, Brancepeth Castle Club is a must-visit if you're in the area. It’s got everything a golfer could want—great layout, excellent conditions, and a challenge that keeps you coming back for more. Just be ready for a tough, but thoroughly enjoyable, round of golf! course lovely layout. Some challenging holes across the ravine. ⛳ Definitely worth a visit, I know I'll definitely be coming back at some point. Fabulous course, very challenging the par 3s are superb some of the best in the north east. Played in a society visit recently, the course was in condition and a very enjoyable round was had by all who played. However all were very unwelcoming. Pro shop were quite rude and had no interest in talking to us, despite us all being very friendly and buying stuff. ‘Management Committee’ member was telling us for having slow play before we even set off. Another Committee member told us off for leaving rubbish without even having any rubbish yet as we were on the first tee. I think overall I would recommend playing the course but just avoid interacting with anyone around the course or clubhouse. The course itself is amazing as I have played it before, I booked on now. I rang in the morning to see if the course was open and nobody answered and it did not state anywhere online it was closed. We travelled 2 hours to get there and the course was closed, so I speak to the guy and he was incredibly rude and disrespectful. We then crashed the car on the way home but you can’t blame home I suppose 😂. I try to get a refund through now, the club tells now that the course was open , luckily now are refunding us anyway. Horrible and it’s disappointing as the course in outstanding on its day.
