The pier itself is now closed to public as is unsafe but here's a lovely walk right along the headland on a tarmacked surface so wheelchair friendly. There is ramps/steps at various points down onto the beach when the tide is out can explore the rock pools and see some unusual creatures. There is a fish shop verrills which is tasty and can enjoy some fish and chips. The heugh battery museum is nearby which although small is an interesting visit and now has a cafe on site.
