This was our first time here, we found it was a really with a lovely atmosphere, friendly and lovely food our only negative was the time it takes to get served but I guess the positive to that is you definitely don't feel rushed but we waited a while 5-10 minutes with an empty table then they took our order. It was then a while before they took the food so we felt like we needed to more but by the time we had managed to get someone's attention we were more or less finished our food and it wasn't particularly busy (see photos). I have still given 5 stars as I'm a business owner myself and know the impact that one member of not turning in for work can have so I'm giving the benefit of doubt as its possible they were a member or two down. We will definitely be going back, so I will update this once we do Hubby & I went for at the Broom mill shop. I had the farmhouse and my hubby had a 3 fried egg roll., & had a pure orange each which al came to £23.90 which i think reasonable and fresh, tasty and enjoyable which is important too. The are spot on for customer service. Farm that sells fresh meat, jams, honey.... The is car parking and is wheelchair accessible. I definitely recommend and will be going again. Purposely went to this in West Auckland, Bishop Auckland, for Honeycomb, and I was in luck. £5.99 Also, I bought a gooseberry jam £3.99 A lovely small shop. A gentleman serving me. Has a cafe too, which seems popular . Payed a visit to the today, greeted by highland cows adjacent to the car park and a pair of donkeys. 2 animals we don't normally get to see and admire in our area. Popped inside and had a followed by a visit to the shop. Highly recommended. Just moved up here from Surrey.... if you had this with the food that is served down south, you could easily double the price of the magnificent food you serve. Don't go getting any new ideas to move now, remember the rates will be higher as well. Love your food, the price you charge, the cakes and of course the staff. Went for sunday it was lovely the cafe & was & clean & the were especially Tammy our server she was great customer experience will definitely return. Cafe also has a selection of cold hot & alcoholic and the sold fresh veg with a big selection of meats. 😁 Oloy stopped in for a couple of hot but a place. Very comfortable. .. all friendly couldn't ask for more. little find with this place..not budget friendly mind ha h We had an here on a Saturday. Table from the was excellent, the food and were and are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. We went through to the for an explore and found stock of fresh meat, bread, eggs, milk and lots of other products. We’d absolutely recommend visiting and we’re looking forward to going back! We went just about a week before Xmas, we had a Sunday lunch, it was very nice, the was good, and the waiter was very pleasant and very helpful. In fact all the were nice, we then went into the which has a good variety of foods and some honey They need to update their photos as this doesn’t do it justice. It was a fab place to meet old friends have food and catch up. No rush for the table. Fab food. Super friendly staff. Excellent to the back. Loved it. There are places to have space for kids to be out but no actual play equipment. Deffo recommend x Just been here this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I had the broom mill breakfast, it cost a tenner and the food was delicious, you could actually taste the ingredients. We visited the after and bought a couple of steaks and some lamb, pricier than a supermarket but you can tell the quality is so much better. Unfortunately we were a little early for the lunch menu so my son had a McDonalds from up the road before we went, looking forward to going again at time and maybe Sunday lunch. Prices are reasonable and there appears to be plenty of parking. Great atmosphere, food and especially service! Everyone was so lovely, thoughtful and reliable. We tried to tip for this reason but they can’t take tips via card which is a huge shame and we weren’t carrying cash. So the only thing I would say is to the owner- please fix this so people can tip in card ! Your hard working must be losing out on a lot and they deserve it :) Formally one of our favourites to have Sunday dinner. Today we sat waiting outside because we had the dogs with us. No so went in to order. (It was busy but plenty of on) Couldn't order, got told it was table & Ellie would be over to take our order. 25 mins later still no Ellie. Started to rain so went in to take away. Like a shot they were over to say we couldn't bring the dogs in. Fair enough no dogs inside but what a shame they weren't as fast to take our orders. Nevermind their loss is the George & Dragon at Heighingtons gain. Had a delicious lunch with family today . Friendly efficent ,lady was good with 18month old great grandaughter too . We didnt have long to wait once food was ordered . Good quality food and value ,enjoyed by all of us . Went into afterwards ,always buy their fruit cake at least but bought some meals as well . Lady is always pleasant and we generally have a chat too . very disappointing visit today and won’t be back service slow and when. asked if we could substitute the beef for chicken straightaway NO despite there being chicken ciabatta on the menu therefore they still had chicken end up with a meatless roast which tasted ok someone had ham broth which was tough don’t like new way of ordering then having to wait a while before we can food family have been a regular here but we won’t be returning Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
