Worth visiting but hard to get to I highly recommend this small museum for anyone interested in fashion, beautiful objects, shells, handicrafts and industrial processes. There are 3 main parts to the museum: a high quality button factory, a beautiful, handmade domino workshop and an upstairs (lift available) permanent exhibition. The gift shop is fabulous. The nearby hotel- restaurant was closed, but I am told that it is also very good. I really like these 'themed' museums. This one celebrates fancy goods, mainly mother of pearl buttons and fans, with other shell creations. The machinery looks as if it is just a sit was when the factory closed and there is a sort of intimate cosy feel to the place. Worth a visit! One of the best museums I visited. Beautifully laid out. Fantastic art curators. We learnt a lot throughout the visit. Kids (6 to 15) loved it. We were all mesmerised by the machine's mechanism.
