One Michelin star Graham and I had the best evening in a very long time, we were looked after like royalty, everything was explained we ate far more than we thought we would or could, there wasn't one tiny thing I didn't enjoy. We started of with 3 types of mise en bouche , followed by a creamy smooth pumpkin velouté . Special bread and exquisite duo butter ( smoked and pepper) to accompany the whole meal. Then the entré was a mushroom spinach basil ravioli. Pairing with an succulent BOTTLE of red wine ( syrah) . Then a small lemon (rum infused ) sorbet to rince the palet and attack the main course, la pièce de la résistance ! A "magret de canard " that I am sure you would have never tasted something so juicy and perfectly cooked with a side of cepes ! To die for! We are at our third glass until here... Then came the pre-desert! Mini tarte au citron meringuée and an apple mille feuille. And finally ( after the bottle was nearly empty (only two people) the desert came ... And my god! The best, delicate, balanced , profiteroles I have ever tasted! To finish the coffee is at another level as well! In summary the best Michelin star lunch you can ask for !!! You can come here by riding the RER..lines B and H...to Persan (it is included in the navigo pass for visitors)... and then take a Bolt (10 Euros)... ask for the menu affaires (49 Euros) wine included (and they refill your cup everytime)... Probably the best food you ever have... multipe entrées, main, dish, dessert, coffe and water... fine dining all the way... unpretentious too... I once went to Stela in NYC, paid a lot more...and the food and the experience were not even close... One of the best places i've tried in France. Totally worth it!!!!! I reached out to the restaurant in advance, ordered the "Menu des Plaisirs" and prepaid for my parents' meals. The owner was super accomodating, and let me make it all happen. The restaurant was very welcoming to my parents, setting the tone for an amazing anniversary dinner. The service was amazing, and the food was divine. Endless courses of michelin-level traditional french cuisine. My parents were incredibly happy with their experience at La Grange and I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the owner and the entire staff for creating such a special anniversary experience for my parents.
