Great viewing spot for the Northern Lights on a clear night, still some light pollution but can't complain, we still got to see the lights! Nice little house at the top as well, serves hot drinks and snacks. Peaceful spot by the ocean. The was closed and no one was around, which was very nice. A very nice little church. You can drive beyond the to get a great view of the ocean. I particularly enjoyed watching the golfers playing in such high winds that I wouldn't dare play in. Hardy souls. Nice church... unfortunately, we were not able to see the northern lights on Dec 19th, 2023. Sky was clear and the kp was at a 4. Several large buses were there with different tour groups. We were able to stop down the road and have a nice view of the Volcano which was on its second day of eruption.
