Delicious oil that is being sold at a very reasonable price too! A great experience! We turned up and the lady that owns the place showed us round, she was so friendly, funny and full of information about the place (that they've had for over 30 years). We'd been to a pre-industrial oil mill, and a couple of modern ones too before, but always find the different oil producers interesting to look around and the history of the place, passed down through the family here. It was especially interesting seeing the equipment used between the pre-industrial times, and today's methods where an engine (German) was hooked up to belts that ran each part of the process. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also fantastic with kids, making the experience both educational and fun for the whole family. It was fascinating to learn about the different stages—from harvesting the olives to pressing and bottling—and how much love and effort goes into each bottle. We also got to taste her oil, and it was truly exceptional—rich, smooth, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and freshness. Joanna also produces and sells a range of other natural products made with her oil, including shower gel, body cream, and honey. Everything is handmade with the same level of care and attention. We loved it so much that we bought a whole box 📦 of products to bring home with us—perfect for gifts and to keep a piece of Crete with us. This was more than just a tour—it was a heartfelt, local experience we’ll always remember. The Paraschakis Oil factory was one of the highlights of our stay in Crete.
