Very well maintained with plenty of parking space, access is easy for most people with some steep climb. Changing room/toilets are available but can do with a bit of maintenance. Nature at its best, hardly touched with green all around; with enough facilities for a good time Cool dam. the lake is not that deep, because of that, the temperature of the water is just right in the summer! The official swimming zone is quite small but there's plenty of space in the surrounding areas of the dam. Bars and bathrooms are available. Swimming pool is warm and very pleasant however for elderly family members not participating in the swimming have nowhere to sit on the shore as there's no seating or shade. The ramp up to the café is very steep and the café is quite a walk. Visited the Cabril Dam after one year being away from the area. It was very sad to see the huge drop in the water levels and the beach destroyed 🫤 Hope its just temporary. Amazing dam and water was super fresh and clean. Perfect little heaven to swim In the summer there is a floating swimming pool with lifeguard. The deep pool is around 1,8m deep. And there is a shallow pool for babies and little kids. Nice place for young and old. All completely free of charge.
