We had lunch during a beautiful walk in the Wildegutach area. The service was very nice, the food is all cooked locally, no industrial junk. The price was fine and the sitting at the terrace relaxing. As a group of 8 we paused at Felsenstüble for lunch on a Sunday in early May '18 and it was one of the highlights of our road trip. The food was delicious, the setting is beautiful and the (Belgian) waitress was lovely! The food wasn't cheap but the experience was worth it. A very nice cafe with amazing cakes and handmade pralines. We always buy a batch of pralines as a gift for friends. They have the largest collection of pralines varieties in November for the Christmas calendar. They do serve the best black forest cake that I have had, of course on availability. This place appears out of nowhere when you go this road, and it is definitely worth a visit. They serve one of the best pralines we have tried and a variety of other food to try, all home-made. Make sure to try the chocolate and pralines! We stayed here for 6 nights over the summer, while visiting the black forest. The rooms were very nice, pleasantly furnished and well maintained, and the kitchen had all appliances needed for self-catering (oven, stoves, fridge, freezer, dishwasher) and plenty of cooking utensils and plates. The staff were always very friendly and helped us have a great stay in the black forest. We would certainly consider coming back.
