Nice Lovely hiking trails to the crater from all sides and a short route circling the crater for those who just want to enjoy a stressless stroll, starting from a parking lot not too far away. Hoewenegg is the most northerly of the long extinct Hegau volcanoes. If the air is clean, especially in winter, you can see the Swiss and Austrian Alps from some select spots at the crater. Lovely, indeed. Beautiful walking path and something you don't forget easily. Nice slopes and a bouquet of different scenarios. Woods, Midlands, climbs, farsightes. The trail is easy to follow with the indicators placed every few meters apart and I especially like the overview maps and distance indicators. I wish It was closer to where I live to go more often. At the viewpoint you see the white mountain tips of Switzerland. Also the steep and blue lake is something you don't see every day. Great place to hike!
