Another good if not a little pricier restaurant that serves fusion food mixing traditional Spanish dishes with different vegetables and styles. We didn’t take enough time to understand how they like to work or to understand the menu which is read to you and so we don’t feel we got the best out of the restaurant i.e. judging by some of meals seen at other tables. So they brought a cold soup as a starter and then we ordered the usual pan y allioli which came as two slices of baguette toasted, topped with allioli and then grilled. For starters we had grilled octopus with mash and an excellent fish described as something akin to shark on a bed of eggplant and topped with garnishes. For main course we had oxtail that had been slow cooked, removed from the bone and then made into a square. Sadly it didn’t work that well losing texture and taste. One of our party ordered lamb confit and that was a better meal, more substantial, more interesting and tastier. In between courses we were served a sorbet. The desserts were very unusual including pumpkin and the portions were very generous. Service was good and the setting pleasant although we had to sit inside sue to the weather. All told the meal including drinks came to €174 If you like great food and are hungry try the menu del dia - six mouthwatering courses. Fantastic local and traditional food. Freshly cooked, great service all round highly recommended. If you feel like being spoilt Sergio will not disappoint…. The ex-Sommelier at the sublime Casa Pepa continues to serve up delights and this Piscina Bar location in Sagra. Ok so it’s not cheap but the food and matched wines have been put together with such care and attention. Paired wines included a Verdejo left on lees for 12 months, a Merlot based Rose that would better Whispering Angel any day and a high altitude Garnacha (from Cuenca) that was more like a Pinot with buckets of strawberries What a treat…. Wonderful staff and beautiful area of Spain. Amongst the mountains and , there is a Lido next to restaurant. Which we used Really nice place with very very good quality food! When you are visiting this part of Spain this is a must to come and eat in this place! What's more Julio - the chef is such a good, kind and cool person! Ps. The Goat Cheesecake is wow... incredible!!!!! Great restaurant! Great food and very friendly and capable staff. Very reasonable price considering the quality. Fabulous! The food is truly delicious, the service sublime, and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed.
