The restaurant has beautiful Terrace which is non smoking. We were impressed as not many restaurants have this policy at the Terrace. The icecream we had was delicious. The tea was also very nice. Very dog friendly, wide ranging food menu with good pricing, nicely situated at the edge of the park with a view on the river. Lovely Pancake House with nice views and a friendly atmosphere. Itnwas beautiful view the food was great recommend for anyone traveling around the Netherlands Pancakes were a little on the crusty side and the server waited until everyone finished their meal to ask if we wanted another drink. It was a slow Tuesday night, so service could have been a lot better. Very kind personnel in a hospitable atmosphere. Stopped during a bike ride, had a nice coffee, filled my water bottles and continued the tour completely recharged! Terribly unfriendly! We went in with two small children and were brusquely told to wait outside without any explanation. I was surprised because the place was well attended, but not full, there were still tables free. After guests also went and we were still not invited in, I asked how long it takes and pointed out that we are there with children who are hungry. There came only as an answer that food takes anyway at least half an hour and let us stand outside again. I am stunned. I have never experienced such ignorance anywhere.
