The young waitress was exceptionally kind, and to top it off, she offered us coffee and crispy pastries at the end of our meal. We'll definitely be back sooner this time. Note: It would be great if the menu with prices were available on Google; I'm not sure why it's a common practice in Croatia to omit prices. The food was really terrible, salad was dirty and without anything special. I also don’t understand the people who say that it is cheap. If you compare other similar restaurants it was above average for worse food quality. You can even taste the old fat in the potatoes… really not enjoyable. But I felt like the service crew really was keen on making their guests happy and they were really friendly and welcoming. Probably we had only bad luck in our choice of meals. The service was excellent. The owner himself took care of us and was extremely friendly and attentive. He spoke both German and English and gave us some great recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything is homemade – from the pasta and cakes to the meat dishes and ravioli. The portions were more than generous, and the quality was outstanding. While the prices aren’t low, they’re in line with what’s now standard in Croatia, and completely justified by the quality and freshness of the food. We highly recommend Restaurant Danilea to anyone visiting the area and sincerely thank the team for their wonderful hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!
