Hum, the smallest city in the world.Hum with its 30 (2011 Population Census) inhabitants is formally listed as the smallest town in the world. It is located in the center of Istria region, near the of Buzet, know as a “town of truffles”. I like this town, so lovely one. Hope to get it back soon in the future. Very nicely preserved environment. 😄👍🏻Worth visiting, but note that there is pretty much nothing here for kids (not much to do here for them except to watch old buildings and eat ice cream). (A small effort to create some fun for kids was made in one alley, but the arrows (to shoot with a bow) were all broken, the single video game was not working and the general state of things to play with was quite bad, unfortunately. 😒) Hum is really the in the world, all in one place. The road is narrow and I recommend that you drive slowly, because all the local residents like to drive fast and because of the impenetrable bends, an accident can happen. Parking will cost you €2. You can see their museum, distillery with bar, church and some other special features of this small town. Personally, I expected to see more, but that's just my opinion, it's definitely worth a visit. The world's is also one of the prettiest. A spectacular place rich in history with unparalleled views. The rough cobble stone paths and homes are so picturesque. We only stayed one night and definitely could have stayed more. I understand that during the late morning and afternoon it can be quite busy with day tourists but we missed most of them and pretty much shared the place with only the few residents of the and the cats. It is a lovely peaceful place and I definitely recommend staying the night. The sunrise is incredible. Beautiful small in southern part of Istria. I think it entered Guinness book of records as the in the world. Beautiful scenery. You just have to visit it. It's hard to explain how beautiful it is with just words. (Also, there's parking near, but I guess it can be crowded in summer time) Unique place to see, in the with a very nice view. Very peaceful place in the middle of nowhere. Good to visit, entrance is free, you only pay for the parking and you can stay the whole day if you want. Hum, the in the world, offers a magical step back in time with its stone streets, medieval charm, and peaceful vibe. Explore the Glagolitic Alley, visit the Church of St. Jerome, and try the local biska brandy. A perfect, quiet escape in the heart of Istria! Beautiful view, the whole place can be walked around in 30 mins or less if you're fast. Perfect lighting and background for family pictures, even my 70+ grandma loved walking in the town. Didn't go inside the museum itself but under that they have a shop for liquors, chocolates and jams. The souvenir shops are also worth a visit.
